Nash wasn't a superstar when he was in Dallas. He was an all-star but not considered a superstar hence why Cuban was reluctant to pay him the max. He had a Stephen Curry type of rise in Phoenix that took everybody by surprise. Also Phoenix is the 11th biggest market in the US. Definitely not comparable to SA in size. Using Lebron to Cleveland is bs example that is very fluky considering Lebron is originally from Cleveland plus he played there plus he went there for good PR. We all know had he not gotten the backlash from the decision he probably does not comeback to Cleveland.

SA will never ever ever get a Superstar FA. The sooner you accept it the better you will be. The only way SA will ever get a superstar is through the draft and trades . Like I said before historically Superstars don't go to small market teams through free agency. I don't count the Nash example as legit since he wasn't a superstar during his Mav days and Phoenix is not really a small market. I'll give you the Lebron example even though you had to cheat on that one but outside of the Lebron example there has been no superstar that has gone to small market through FA in the history of the NBA.

there's a certain level of restlessness to this whole matter... anyone else feel the same? I just feel exhausted about hearing this all the time and wish it would be over... Bull . I would not give up both for Denng's salary space. that. I agree that is a ty trade offer for Kawhi but that's also equally ty to move Deng on its own. Next year Deng expires. Lakers draft picks will have less value moving forward so I would move those before Hart and Kuzma.

I hate to tell you this, but Deng doesn’t expire until 2020.

Wrote up this trade . . . Harrell would be included as a S&T to Spurs and the outgoing and incoming salaries are still a good enough match. Clippers would send draft picks to both Heat and Spurs . . . Heat more than Spurs. Probably two first rounders to the Heat and one to the Spurs. Unfortunately, I think Miami gets screwed here so it's not realistic. Also assuming we waive BP3 and Metu doesn't get a deal this year but will once we waive Gasol next summer. We would net 2 players. Although then again the Heat are really lacking in picks, so who knows.
