RC looking like a boss.
all those one year contracts keeping the Lakers from trading now, it's almost like they gave up trading for him and just decided to wait a year for him
Notice the awkward pause when CC was asked whether Kawhi just wants out of SA. Which was the narrative he was spewing before. Now it's just he wants to be in LA. Well play out your contract and go to LA. Kawhi is getting the worst career advise and is being handled by a bunch of greedy snakes. I pray Kawhi wakes up and finally takes charge of his own business now.
Afew months from now that's when Kawhi and his camp will start melting. I'm going to enjoy it if the Spurs keep Kawhi and he has to report to training camp.
What he is giving up is guaranteed money for "maybe" money. You sign that contract today, you got the guaranteed supermax for the next 5 years. You pass, you are relying on a year of good health/productivity and that wherever you end up, you are going to be highly marketable. Otherwise, you are losing money. And if you don't care about money, then why hire an agent and worry about being in a big market that can get you marketing dollars? This kind of logic that Carter is trying to use makes no sense.
Per Woj, Kawhi Leonard seriously considering participating at the USA mini-camp next week.
Looool now I want him to be shipped to Toronto or Minnesota. The Group probably wouldn’t know what to do if they were dealt elsewhere aside from LA. He couldn’t do simple math to explain the financial advantage of a supermax and he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the Spurs organization that Kawhi hated (which seems like a load of made-up BS to me). Sports media in this day and age![]()
Did uncle Dennis off Kawhi's father? Tbh fwiw imo
He can tell them how he can get them to pass up max in guaranteed contracts so they can try and get to LA for marketing dollars.
Patheticwho the would want his dumbass as an agent? He's going to cost his client 80 mil+. Some agent
![]()
He is absolutely will lose salary even if signs a big shoe deal he loses money if he is offered supermax and doesn't sign it. Any confirmation he was offered it?
Yeah he's really showing the league with the Dante Cunningham, Davis Bertans, and Bryn Forbes signings!
Leonard’s level of re iness continues to amaze me. He’s made it plain that he’s desperate to get to a team that will give him an inferior contract and has made it impossible to get there at least until Jan. And this tool is complaining about how mean the Spurs are. What s load of BS.
“Still, the bidding war among Boston, Philadelphia and Los Angeles Lakers never materialized. The Los Angeles Clippers, Denver, Phoenix, Portland, Toronto and Washington are among teams who've talked with San Antonio, league sources said.
As examples, no Blazers' package includes Damian Lillard or CJ McCollum, league sources said. For a player who teams fear could be a one-year rental, many offers are modified.
So far, the Sixers have held out three players -- Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz - in talks. Boston hasn't included five players, including Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown, Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford. The Celtics and Sixers have offered pick-heavy packages that haven't moved the Spurs, league sources said.”
horrible
I wonder what crap Denver, Phoenix and Portland offered.
You know Washington is offering Otto Porter and his horrible contract.

Jabari Young podcast notes:
— How have things been with Spurs over last 2 weeks besides Kawhi and Tony? Jabari says everybody is on Kawhi-watch. Doesn’t really answer the question. Says if he had to guess he thinks Kawhi is in training camp. Everything has quieted down because Spurs demands are too high.
— Host steers back to original question. Jabari mentions losing KA and TP. Gives KA credit for finding a good offer sheet. Says it’s popular to knock KA but can’t discount last season’s development. Compares him to Jonathan Simmons in that as soon as he figured things out, he left the team. Says Spurs will miss KA because he’s a playmaker and it’s a huge blow. Mentions Belinelli, Bertans, Forbes as guys that need to step up.
— Expects a Ginobili decision in the next week.
— Host brings up TP. Jabari says TP comments re: Kawhi were taken out of context and it was nonsense that he caught so much flak for it. Jabari says you got the feeling that if any of Big 3 were to ever leave, it might be Parker. Had a sense that TP had to prove himself to Spurs throughout his career. Says TP felt it was time to move on and his idolizing Jordan was a big factor. Batum and Borrego also helped. Tony did it his way and you have to respect that.
— Host brings it back to Kawhi. Jabari says the Raptors rumor is ridiculous. Doesn’t make sense from a Toronto perspective because Derozen is no slouch and despite having a bad playoffs he’s been an all star longer than Kawhi. They finished #1 in the East and Lebron left. Jabari understands the appeal of Kawhi as a player but he won’t re-sign, so it amounts to a 1 year gamble. Jabari says if Masai is willing to break it up next year, he should give the current team one more shot because they’re just as good as Phi or Boston. Admits he might have to eat crow but it doesn’t make sense to him from a Toronto perspective. Thinks it’s a great trade from a San Antonio perspective because with Pop at head coach it would keep them near the top of the west.
— Jabari again says unless something dramatic happens, Kawhi will start the season in SA. If he plays great, then trade offers will go up. It could work best for both sides to get the best trade.
— Host asks about USA camp. Jabari says from what he’s heard from people behind the scenes, Kawhi will be there next week playing for Pop and you might finally hear from Kawhi himself. You’ll definitely hear Pop address the situation. Alludes to this perhaps being the first step of damage control to smoothing the path for Kawhi to play the first couple of months in SA
— Host asks why Kawhi wants to leave in the first place? Jabari says he’s tired of talking about it and has reported on it extensively. The only thing left is for Kawhi to say he wants out himself. All eyes should be on Kawhi next week because he has to address why he as a man no longer wants to play on this team. Jabari says he just says what he knows and gets blamed for taking up for Kawhi. Jabari says he’s just reporting what he knows.
— Any more moves besides Kawhi? Jabari says he can see a couple of vets in training camp. Mentions Gerald Henderson is trying to get back into the league but he doesn’t know of Spurs interest. They’re going to bring in a lot of bodies and make guys compete. Thinks the team has explored trading Pau but doesn’t see any takers. Nonetheless thinks a vet big is a possibility. Right now it seems like they’re full but can see a vet big or a young shooter that people gave up on. But for the most part he expects it to be quiet.

Kawhi has to go wherever the Spurs trade him. If the Lakers don't want to give up the players the Spurs want in return the. It's either stay in San Antonio or go wherever they decide to trade him.
When Kawhi draws his picture book in 10 years about his life I bet we'll be hearing about being taken advantage of monetarily and otherwise by his family and hangers on.
Kawhi and Pau for Middleton, Henson, Brogdan, and a first
If Kawhi truly does stay off social media. He gets notified about USA mini camp. He accepts. Lies and Bs start coming out from his group. He is like "wth?". Hoping... praying...
The Group knows this, hence the unnecessary media buzz of making sure he lands where they want him to land. Going to be hilarious if he gets sent elsewhere. He’ll probably enjoy being Drake’s new BFF up north.
Spurs are beginning to fire up trade talks with the Raptors again. This time the deal looks more likely to happen since they were very close to making a deal last week. Actually they had an agreement last week, but Toronto backed out. Hopefully we hear something soon. I was told last week the talks fell apart because of concerns over Kawhi's health. The Spurs believed the Raptors would comeback after thinking more on it. However, they had potential deals with the Clippers and The Suns, but felt Toronto would more likely be the team he would be traded to.
Again something might happen today. I really hope so, so that Cris Carter can eat his words. I would love to hear what he has to say if this deal goes down.
