KL put Spurs in a lousy position. I would have preferred Kyrie if Spurs went the veteran route, but DD is locked up longer.

Kawhi screwed the Spurs, the team that made him. They never got good offers and his team kept working to ensure they never got anything. What he's done may be worse than Durant, tbh.
