I knoew RC was going to destroy this franchise someday. I just didn't think it was going to happen so soon after Duncan retired.
You realize Pöltl put up above average stats last year and earned himself 140 playoff minutes. He’s no slouch. In fact, look at how his second season compares with Capela’s:

To me, he’s lower risk than any big the Spurs have brought in in years besides Aldridge.

One player the #Spurs can count on to help DeMar buy into SA is Rudy Gay. The two are extremely close from their time playing together in Toronto. Starting five could include Rudy and DeMar with LaMarcus and Dejounte
So, this means Rudy Gay will start at SF, and IMO will make the return of Manu for one more go. I know there is lots of hate for Poeltl, but Toronto was looking at moving him into the starting center role. He is only 22, and is getting only 3 mil a year. Like many, I sure wish they had gotten OG, but I assume OG is their KL insurance should he walk.

That's facts. He's only been handicapped by location & his best players being chokers. Only bad decision was the Brazilian KD draft pick.

Nobody expected jack from Leonard when he was drafted. You spend the last number of years working your ass to develop him into the franchise guy. Then he goes all full mode on us, and the rest is history..

Weren't the Celtics offer Smart and first. Clippers were offering Harris and 2 first. We got an elite scorer. I am worried about our D. At least our offense won't suck. Should be a fun Spurs team. Lots of athleticism and should have good shooters out there. Gasol starts again. Unsure if Darozen plays 3 with white or 2 with Gay.

The Spurs should have been in no rush to make this trade. At the very least, they should come away with an unprotected pick. DeRozen wasn't wanted in Toronto so he was always going to be available. RC just bent over like he usually does and instead of doing a full rebuild around some nice young peices, the Spurs will muddle around the 50 win mark for the next three years with nothing to show for it before they can even think of doing a rebuild. Hopefully by then, they'll be known as the Vegas Spurs.
