DeRozan's reasons are so much better than Kawhi's. Compton kid actually loved Canada.
Weak minded person, allowed himself to be manipulated. Now he can go and freeze his ass off in Toronto. Have fun..

Poeltl has shown his potential on more than one occasion this season and there is a slight chance he becomes the Raptors starting center at some stage in the next season or two. He is going to be a big part of their playoff hopes and their future.
Best case scenario a taller, younger, healthier version of Splitter.
Have you upgraded your living condition from your parent's tool shed to the attic yet?
Same. The Kawhi situation sucked, but glad it's over. The trade isn't the greatest, but considering the leverage the Spurs had, I still think its about the best we could hope for.
At least the regular season will be interesting to see how all of these changes take effect.
Goddamn Warriors are going to win the le again anyways, so we might as well enjoy the ride, right?
Hes not really weak minded. Just doesn't understand business and allowed others who he trusted to do his dealings for him.
1) i dont blame derozan for being upset. i would be, too. probably will take him time to process what's going on, evaluate everything. but good that he doesn't seem to have any particular dislike of san antonio
2)kawhi
3) wow... sixers weren't even willing to include saric in any deal? that just tells me they had ZERO trust in kawhi. and honestly can't really blame them
Not sure how good they would be, but that would be a fun lineup.
Kemba
DeRozan

The Spurs made lemonade out of lemons. Kawhi literally screwed the Spurs. Him missing all last season wasn't due to his injury. He was healthy. He sat out and put himself before the entire organization. He demanded to be traded, which is fine, but him saying he only wanted to go to L.A. took any leverage the Spurs may have had away.
The Lakers and Clippers were not going to give up any players that were worth anything. Teams in the East like Boston and Philly weren't willing to give up anything good. So what did you want the Spurs to do?
Keep Kawhi and see how it goes? Nah. He was dividing the locker room. He was a bad teammate. He said things to players that weren't very good. He needed to go. The Spurs best offer was DeMar DeRozan. He's a very good player. Sucks Danny had to go, but the salaries had to match. Sucks the Spurs didn't get any young prospects, but Kawhi is gone and the Spurs got an All Star player in return. The main goal was to move Kawhi and they did that.
And if the trade wasn't bad enough, they threw Danny Green in for free. RC is worthless.
Getting salty about the truth. Like I said before you are just a re ed cavs fan that is here to troll who hold's a weird vendetta against the Spur for the '07 sweep of the Cavs.
Yup, hopefully he's damaged goods with the medical stuff as well considering Philly's doctor had him. That'd be amazing for the Spurs![]()
Since March, the Spurs and SA media were questioning his injury...I wouldn't say they protected him that much.

Don Harris was saying Kawhi isn't a top 5 player since 2016-17...In the same season, Jeff McDonald after a win over Detroit said that Parker looked amazing and Kawhi shouldn't be the focal point of the offense...Just don't act like SA media "love" Kawhi before this drama.

Losing a franchise player sucks for sure but based on everything that has happened, Kawhi and his uncle decided prior to this year that they wanted out of SA, period. That is the only narrative that makes sense to this ridiculous story that we as fans had to endure for a year. You can defend them until you are blue in the face but the Spurs have a known track record of taking care of their stars. Even with the unprecedented trade request by LMA, Pop handled it professionally and accommodated his concerns. In Kawhi's case, even with all the personal and team success somehow in his delusional mind the Spurs had done such a wrong that there was no going back. Give me a break.
I don't defend them...I've said his camp is too greedy and unprofessional. But you make my point, losing a franchise players always sucks so...= it's not great if a team can't keep its franchise player.
Nah. I haven't heard anything to be honest.
All that dream about getting Anunoby.![]()

Raptor DeMar DeRozan opens up about his personal battle with depression and anxiety: "I stay quiet and standoffish in a sense, in my own personal space, to be able to cope with whatever it is you’ve got to cope with.”
“This depression get the best of me.”
Good luck coddling an emotional, overpaid chucker.![]()
Many people wanted to keep Kawhi. You can go back in the threads and see all the people who wanted to keep Kawhi.
So he gets a little blue and goes on his own now and then to cool off? Big deal. Anything is better than a mute autistic cancer with a Norman Bates-like relationship with his uncle Dennis.
Wasn't JSimms with the autist in Vegas?
I was one of them, but he wanted nothing to do with the Spurs or San Antonio. The Spurs (mainly Pop) did all they could to convince him to try to work things out. It didn't work. He had been causing problems in the locker room since last season.
Cant believe we’re still stuck with pau and mills
I wonder what you and other people would say if Kawhi's quad doesn't look good when he plays again...
Also, I'm not sure how you can explain why Kawhi didn't look like himself in the 9 games he played last season.
Saying he wasn't injured is just stupid.
His health was one of Spurs' major concerns this offseason and one of the reason why teams didn't make better offers for him...His health and the one-year rental.
I just heard Windy mention that Pop scheduled a press conference. I can’t find anything about it, anyone know any details? Could be pretty juicy, I doubt it, but could be.
