Impeachment and removal of DJT is a fairly remote possibility; the Dems should concentrate on proposing policies people want and getting voters registered for 2020. At the moment, they seem to be doing neither.

Advantage DJT

The only real chance of Trump getting impeached and removed is if the Democrats obliterate the Republicans in the midterms, eg taking the house comfortably and winning the senate while also ejecting another safe GOP seat like Cruz's. Then you might see enough GOP senators willing to dump Benedict Donald to save their hopes in 2020. But that's a pretty remote possibility IMO, based on how bad the senate map is for the DNC.

it's probably a mistake to read too much into Judge Ellis's admonitions and in fact, by criticizing the prosecution's implied strategy he may have helped it.
