You don't make the rules, period. The movies have kept the character relevant since Fleming became worm food. Deal with it.
And in those movies how many times was James Bond black? How many white Bonds in the books. how many white Bond in the movies? So.....one....black Bond...changes everything? No it doesn't, James Bond is white.

Hollywood has..0...to do with who an authors creation is. What was written in the books is what matters. Without the books there is no James Bond or the 6-5 250 Jack Reacher.
