I asked him if instead of Thanos being faithfully represented (acording to the source material) in the last Avengers movie, he would have had long blonde hair and yellow skin (non character defining traits), if he would have been cool with that. And his answer implied that he obviously wasn't, so then I pointed out that preferring purple over yellow, to stay faithful to the character, is the same as preferring white over black, to stay faithful to the character.

If thanos had long blonde hair he'd probably look ridiculous.

If you have read the books (over 20 ) you have gotten use to the size of Reacher being a huge factor in developing the character. In the newest Reacher novel (The Midnight Line) he is referred to as Big Foot and The Hulk.
