Denying the freedom of an American citizen in his own soil, without access to the courts and to defend themselves (due process) is probably among the worst things we could do as a nation. It s on absolutely everything we claim we stand for. There's absolutely core values that should never be stepped on, regardless of the risks or dangers, freedom is one of them, IMO.

Sure, that's the tenant, generally speaking. But what if we allowed the enemy in in mass numbers at a time of war? Again, I just wonder if the govt. had a lot of credible information to arguably justify it. As it is, I've said that FDR is/was a tyrant. That's part of it. They did do the census which helped to identify all of the Jews, including what percent of Jew they were. They also made individualized info for every Jew for the Nazis to track them, use them, and exterminate them in the most efficient manner possible. And they did so with IBM not prohibiting it.
