Right in the feels
When the Spurs got eliminated by the Lakers in '02 I remember being bummed out about it. So I tried to find ways to be optimistic about the future and decided to download a Ginobili mix video. Back then youtube didn't exist and the video was over 200 MGs just for 5 minutes. At the time downloading it took me nearly any hour to do. I wondered if it was even worth it to download. After an hour I watched the mix tape and was amazed at how good Manu looked and was thinking wow this really was worth the download. I also believed after watching the video that he was going to be the final piece that would put the Spurs ahead of the Lakers.
Right in the feels
My favorite Spurs player ever behind TD. Sad day but we appreciate everything Manu's done for SA.
Looking forward to his jersey retirement next year. It'd be cool if it was when Hornets visited so Tony can attend.
Gracias Manu. The wheels have officially fallen off but it was a great run.
Bats are having a party
Bye guys.
Enjoy retirement you tosb
Team allegiances aside; if you love this game, you can truly appreciate the caliber of player Manu was. You never had to question his heart. Truly an end to an era.. Much Suerte Manu...
He should've thanked him for that foul too, tbh.
As i said on an old post... Spurs fans will really know what Manu is when he retires...
and they didn’t even win it that year too. Loser ass Mavs
I'm interested to see what (if anything) Kobe and Wade say about him.
Thank you Manu.
I wonder how disappointed Marco is to not be able to team up with Manu again. It's just Pop and Patty left from that 2014 team.
Would have loved 1 more year to show Walker IV the Spurs way.
Top 3 SPURS player ever....behind Duncan, Robinson ONLY. He will be missed in so many ways.
Yup, this was the secret that some of the Vegas Folks had when they posted the Spurs Over/Under. A lot of people will sweat for their money now.
Man this year is gonna be weird.
Gonna miss that Argentine driving me crazy as a fan.
Wonder how much time he'll spend in Texas now, or if we'll never see him at games, etc because he's in his homeland.
Really appreciate LMA's post. Can see the Manu influence right there! Love to Manu

The TNT broadcaster and Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley, whose drawn-out screams of “Ginobili” on “Inside the N.B.A.” have been a league fixture for years, told The Times upon hearing the news: “Today my Manu retired — it’s like losing a family member. It was an honor and pleasure to watch you play. See you soon at the Hall of Fame.”
