so-called man speaks with brain degraded to baby talk
seriously though...you'd expect someone with any kind of college education to speak better

using the same words over and over (and being unable to call up more appropriate alternatives) can be a sign of mental deterioration

    “Real news”

    That's an editorial, Darrin.

At the very top it says "The Post's View: Opinion"

When you hover over the word "Opinion" it says " Opinion: A column or article in the Opinions section (in print, this is known as the Editorial Pages). "

Then it says it is written by the Editorial Board.

The real news here is Darrin got triggered by an opinion piece.

N Carolina hog farmers spray feces around black communities, Florence will spread it everywhere

In eastern North Carolina, home to the States industrial farm industry, Florence will more than likely kill livestock and release feces and urine from holding ponds due to a mind-blowing potential of 2-4 feet of rainfall from the stalled wind storm.

    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/201...tail=emaildkre

    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/national/article218184535.html

NPR reports, in a correction to their 9-11-18 story, that

farmers that plan to empty the holding ponds in anticipation of heavy rains by increasing the spraying of waste on fields,

will not be allowed to spray the waste after all.

A previous Web version of this story said that a state of emergency in North Carolina allows farmers to spray more manure on more fields.

    This is not the case.

The state of emergency does temporarily remove restrictions on the size and weight of trucks carrying livestock, poultry or animal feed”.

    Run, Piggy, Run!

Wage Theft Rampant in Aftermath of Hurricane Harvey

They worked 10- and 12-hour shifts in stifling summer heat, tearing down mold-infested walls, discarding storm debris and moving rotting furniture out of the four-story building.

But when payday came a few weeks later, several workers found their paychecks were short. Others had no checks at all.

More than a dozen workers eventually complained they had not received payment for their work,

while the construction companies in charge of the project blamed one another for the lack of payments.

Nearly a year later, many of those workers say they still have not been paid.

Experts have known since at least Hurricane Katrina in 2005 that wage theft – as these unpaid wages are often known – increases dramatically after natural disasters.

Employers looking to profit off rebuilding take on transient and vulnerable workers they can easily exploit.

And yet, Texas officials were unprepared.

Lisa Givens, spokeswoman for the Texas Workforce Commission, defended the state’s work, saying the agency saw no e in claims for unpaid wages after the hurricane.

“We’re tasked with performing this function,

and we use the resources that are available to us

to the best of our ability,”

    she said.

“We continue to improve on the use of those resources to make the process more efficient.”

The state made no significant outreach to low-wage workers in high-risk industries such as construction

    – a basic strategy experts say discourages wage theft.

Reveal and The News do ented 19 cases of workers whose wages were not paid.

The amounts ranged from just over $500 to more than $4,000.

Trump administration diverted nearly $10 million from FEMA to ICE detention program, according to DHS do ent

The reallocation of public money is do ented in a "Transfer and Reprogramming" notification prepared this fiscal year by the Department of Homeland Security, the parent department of ICE, as the agency is known.

It was made public by Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon in an appearance Tuesday on "The Rachel Maddow Show," as Hurricane Florence barreled toward the Carolinas.

Merkley's office provided the 39-page budget do ent independently to The Washington Post.

It shows that DHS requested that about

$9.8 million going toward FEMA efforts such as "Preparedness and Protection" and "Response and Recovery"

be funneled instead into ICE coffers,

specifically underwriting "Detention Beds" and the agency's "Transportation and Removal Program."

The U.S. Secret Service was also a beneficiary of the reallocation.

Latest data shows its weakening. Will probably not destroy the coast with storm surge or cause the nuclear plants to make all the people glow. But the rain will ensure you can’t get any chick fil a for a minute
