but pretty sure encouragement and or pressire to sell was applied.
Not really. The Stiviano tape was just the last straw for the NBA after decades of embarrassing conduct and record-setting housing discrimination fines.
And it's also a misconception that Sterling was "forced out." All the NBA did was ban him from associating with the team. The reason why the Clippers ended up being sold is because Sterling had been diagnosed with dementia, which enabled his wife to take control of the family trust and sell the team herself.

And when the L bans you from access to your property, you're pretty much being forced out.
Oh, there's no doubt the league wanted the team to be sold. Just pointing out that the narrative on the Sterling thing doesn't match the facts of what actually happened.
I disagree. The league certainly made it difficult and awkward for Sterling to keep owning the team, but Sterling was still stubborn and delusional. He still wouldn't have sold the team voluntarily even with the ban. It took his wife stepping in for the Clippers to be sold. So the league really didn't force him out.
Dude had a big 3: Nash, Finley, and Dirk. Imagine the les they could have won if they kept that core together. Nash was a two time MVP shortly after he left.
Cuban sure is classy:
Just as I suspected. These chumps getting a slap on the wrist. I was hoping Cubes got the Donald Sterling treatment![]()

Rachel gave him a soft opening.
but also asked the real question we wanted to know.
How did he explain being so hands-on and not know anything about what was going on?
His answer makes sense, but hard to reconcile.
He kept a CEO on that he never vetted himself.
This is really weak on Silver's part, but he's a progressive darling, so Media will give him a free pass anyway.![]()

I'll don't know how charity tax write offs work, can anyone shed light on how they work. I'm curious to see if this is nothing more than an empty gesture from a rich asshole or an actual punishment for the said rich asshole.
