I wonder if Trash/Repugs offered Rosy some wonderful post-DoJ job

if he said he resigned in the face of Trash's "say you resign, or else"

Rosy resigning looks, to some ignorant s, as being Rosy's own fault of going Fletcher Christian,

rather than Trash obstructing justice that is working to incriminate Trash.

the plot I described is perfectly plausible. Forced to resign is in Trash favor, vs Trash firing.

why not? a law? Trash don't follow no laws, firing Rosy would be "for cause".

He can’t pick a successor if he fires him. DOJ would not allow it. That’s why they have been pushing that he has resigned. If he fires him it’s a line of succession it goes to next

Nope. The new assistant will have to have a confirmation hearing whether he quit or was fired. That will be a cluster .

Sure, but why do you think Trump is making this move NOW?

It makes no sense unless they are planning to install someone who's more favorable to the administration.

Few reasons. One, distract from the Kavanaugh debacle. Two, he needs to fire Mueller ASAP.
