I feel for people that think that there is some potential crime that is going to be uncovered with an FBI investigation. It boggles my mind that people have no understanding of how impossible a task it is that has been laid at the FBI's feet. Where is the starting point if Ford doesn't know how she got to the home, where the home is, who owns the home, and how she left. There is no physical evidence and all the alleged witnesses have signed do ents under threat of perjury that the gathering never happened. Now, I'm not saying that the public can't debate the facts and pretend they know if it did or did not happen. But the criminal standard is beyond reasonable doubt. Meaning the evidence must remove all reasonable doubt. There is no way in the facts of this case and the non-existent evidence would ever justify a criminal investigation. Sure, the FBI can do a "background" check which will go no where because they have no real leads and its 30+ years old so any evidence that could have existed is long gone. But a criminal investigation is pie in the sky stupid and naive.

Anything he said to Senate Judiciary Committee can and will be used against him.
Plus Mark Judge lawyer submitted a false statement. They'll cross examine him and fact check the out of him.
There's also other witness statements. These witnesses haven't been sworn in and verbally questioned in person.
If he's smart, he'll flip like Michael Cohen.

I don't think he came out as a hack. Strategically, he made the right move. He can't come out an attack Ford. All he can do is contest her stories. But he can attack the democrats on the judicial panel because of the politically motivated way they handled the hearing. His best moments were attacking them in his opening. In fact, his opening probably saved his candidacy.
I think he got a little too belligerent after that, but not enough to sink him. I mean, people are hinting that he's guilty of gang rape and organizing gang rapes at parties. That's a jump the shark allegation. And I have no doubt that a few of them absolutely are going after him because he was part of a Clinton investigation that damaged their guy.
