Where doubt should exist I would agree, but where criminal charges are brought, I don't. There's a reason we have a judicial system. Maybe we should start public hangings based on accusations alone.

If you watched the entirety of the show - this is not surprising.
Here is where I really feel that he is unqualified;
Kavanaugh absolutely refused to answer ANY political or questions regarding policy, law & the consitutional issues of our time -claiming some impartiality on everything. He always blabbered on about his favorite dodge- "precedent."
Every time he was asked a YES OR NO question - he dissembled, refused to answer YES or NO - rambled on about 3 other cases/rulings until time ran out.
I get that he did not want to taint any future ruling - he might one day face - but it all went to - when he testified on the last day and completely discarded his impartiality and pretty much recited the FOX news/right wing nut job bible.
He is a complete liar and a partisan right wing operative.
Not qualified to be a sc justice.

This is because you're stupid. You'd probably tell a cop they could search your vehicle in an attempt to appear innocent, they'd find an old beer can beneath your passenger seat and you'd get a ticket for open container. You never give up your right to privacy, because absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence. You'll still be assumed guilty by the same people who wanted you checked. The tendency to misuse what they do find is why you don't provide more fodder.
If the FBI finds nothing on Kavanaugh, the left will not change their opinion one iota. He's still a a child rapist to them. They will instead consider the FBI to be paid off. Since he was nominated they've had one acceptable outcome - non confirmation.

When Kavanaugh was on the Bush team and the Ken Starr team and he wanted the slimiest details uncovered of a sitting president he thought it was ok for a president to get dragged into the gutter.
Now that a Republican is president he has publicly opined that the president is above the law but he conveniently refused to acknowledge that he still believes that when asked during this hearing.
Don't tell me that now his privacy is to be shielded when he just ruled on a case that a polygraph is ok to be used in a background investigation- but when he is the one being investigated - then he can hide behind the GOP and get rush-confirmed while covering up his past.

a) withdrawn from the process - just to not put himself and his family through it
b) be 100% transparent and offered to remove the mystery by allowing for the fbi/polygraph/etc to clear his good name and get that SC Justice seat with no questions - no clouds over his nomination
c) continue the cover up and dissemble, obfuscate, lie, deny and still not be open and transparent.
He chose C.
But it didn’t happen that way. Deal with it. Unless you want to fast track a potential sex offender to the Supreme Court because politics...
