Seems fine. My guess is that Pop wanted to put Forbes back in but decided guys like Cun and Bertans needed more run than Gay. I'm pretty pleased with what Rudy showed so far, and the middle positions have a lot of players who need looks.

Yeah I just him laughing so I’m guessing he’s alright. He looked to be in pain and holding his hand when he immediately got subbed off. The dude has been banged around a couple of times tonight.

Exactly what does Cunningham do again?

Can't think of a consistent role-player like him the Spurs have had, at least not in recent memory. I'd say he takes up minutes doing bit things in lineups without well-defined responsibilities . The Spurs usually run too tight of a scheme to allow for those kind of generalists. They've been moving toward a system where such a player could find success in a glue-guy role, though.

Jimmer was cut in camp and Bryn is on his second contract with the Spurs... I don't know what's up with that, but it's a fact.

Jimmer did have four or five years in the league, though. Jimmer in a vacuum is a lot better than Bryn. But his shooting motion is really bad. Bryn has a great motion. It's just not as fast as you'd like it to be, and him being short hurts his ability to space the floor. I don't think Bryn would have a huge problem getting a shot off if he were coached to just shoot it instead of hesitating and putting the ball on the floor so much. He may not as accurate, but it'd help the team out a lot more if teams had to play him for the shot every time rather than knowing he'll get scared into pulling it down for a drive.
