I have been to Honduras very poor country
have to have security guards to watch your house when you leave. but it is what it is
there is no reason if they get rid of corruption they could not be a much richer country
if they do not change when the get to the usa soil the usa will be just like their country
last time they tried to there was a coup and the US backed the leader of the coup. 2009. I believe.

literally no one -- besides a few lonely anarcho-capitalists -- is for that.

no one in this thread has said they are for open borders, who the are you talking about?
    False.

Then don't position the situation as people standing in the way of people that "just want a better life". Billions want a better life. Wanting a better life therefore isn't worth mentioning. But you just wanted paint a bully vs victim picture.

    dude, you barely make sense.

I don't believe in open borders.

My fleeting mockery of conservative cowards who can't stand the fact that it is legal for refugees to apply for asylum wouldn't work if there wasn't border enforcement.

the U.S. technically didn't "back it" but they refused to place sanctions on the government that replaced zelaya. she and obama considered the sanctions until hillary's good friend and corporate lobbyist, lanny davis, convinced her otherwise. our banks were happy, in other words. of course, the GOP has their fair share of central american indiscretions, most of those taking place under reagan, who looked the other way while tens of thousands of indigenous people were slaughtered by our banana republics.

I have no problem with legitimate asylum seekers but the process is broken. When you have 100,000 walk ups the system gets clogged and they release them into the US and make them "promise" to come back for their hearing months later. It's just a dumb system. We need a hard border and have asylum seekers apply from outside. No system will be perfect but we need to at least try. Mandatory e verify with stiff fines for non compliance would be a good start.

you're talking about the decided minority of illegal immigrants in 2018.

the majority come here on visas for work, study or travel.

Are you ignoring the fact that I keep mentioning everify as a component of the solution? If they can't work they won't want to stay.

They need the house and 60 in the Senate to get anything done. Trumps offer a few months ago was a good start and the Democrats on it because it included increased border security.
Completely false statement - you sound like Trump making up .

Trumps offer was . He wanted 25 billion, wanted to eliminate LEGAL immigration and return to good ole nazi days - and was upset when Dems told him to go himself.

Remember when Repukes touted "legal" immigration?
Since the traitor in chief took over and his nazi stooge Stephen Miller began to run the nazi operation -

now even legal immigration is on the chopping block. This is the reason Dems took no part in it.

    Try using facts.

    More false garbage.

Asylum seekers have to go through a process or eventually get deported.

Obama administration had the same issues, made the same errors and eventually they had a system down where 99% of the people released while undergoing the asylum process returned for their hearings. Fox news won't tell you any of this.

If you are fleeing for your life and get sent back to "apply from the outside" you will be dead before your hearing but this is probably what you want anyway.

why not close the loopholes and get the illegal crossingsstop
doing nothing about the wall and things is like putting your head in the sand unless you are for open boarders

rates of crossing are at levels not seen since the early 1970s.

    it ain't the 1980s and 1990s anymore.

It isn't even the early 2000s. it isn't a crisis.

It's not a strawman to bring up open borders when you push a narrative of bad people standing in the way of "people that just want a better life". This narrative essentially justifies open borders even if you don't hold that position.
