San Antonio Spurs
Killing Suns fans hopes since 2004.
Lakers, Suns, Rockets, Jazz.
Spurs games they win that I always feel great afterwards. Such a unpleasant history thinking back about those teams. Always feels good to get a W notches on the belt against them
we dont need all stars we need role players
Chris Middleton and Otto Porter and we become the third best team in the league once Derrick White comes back.
o old friend. You never disappoint me.
Considering the Dubs have 4 All Stars (5 when Cousins is healthy), every team in the league needs more All Stars, tbh.
Derozan isn't the problem. The problem is getting stars to play for Popovich. These are multimillionaires who have did things their way since AAU ball. Who is gonna give up that freedom to join a military style regime that takes the fun out of basketball? NBA players treat the the Spurs and Popovich like black folks do about Africa. Everyone talks a good game about it, but nobody is trying to go there.. lol
well that was an easy win ... good for our work horses to not play too many minutes ... the Pels will still us next game I fear
yeah, sympathy for the "foreign" guy in his first head coach job.
People are laughing, but White/DeRozan/Porter/Aldridge is a very solid four-man unit. I think they'd still need another starting-caliber forward to move up above Boston, but they'd have a good balance of skills and enough versatility among them to accommodate a fifth player at literally any position. I'm not making this kind of deal without keeping Gay, so he's an option, but he'd be on the bench with White starting in this scenario. Would likely need to find a buyout candidate to take that last spot
easily, in fact only Kris (who has a star impact) would already put us on this level (tier 3), he and Porter and we are challenging Raptors and Bucks (who are the two best teams in the league after the Warriors imo.
Walker (White) - Demar - Kris - Porter - Aldridge would be a team without weaknesses
Impossible to pay. Porter's contract would already put us near the luxury tax. Middleton should be able to get around 25 million which is close to what Porter makes. I'd love either one of them on the team. Stanley Johnson is a 2nd option that won't cost as much and Millsap should cost a lot less of what he makes now.
you're probably right, I just tried to analyze the proposed hypothetical scenario where we would have these two players, we would be among the best teams in the league without doubts
I hear you. But does it really make sense to add a 32 year old injury prone guy who was a locker room cancer back in Toronto.
Bottom line is: We can only sign one of Carroll/Danny Green/Ariza/Middleton/Millsap if we get under the cap, which means Mills has to get moved for no salary in return. That means they'd have to move him this season for an expiring. Otherwise you can forget about signing anybody. MLE is enough for Stanley Johnson that'll be the only option I see that might pan out. Would love Otto Porter though
Mills ain't getting moved bruh. He does just enough to not get traded.
I know, I'm just saying forget about signing any free agents as long as he's on the payroll
Mills will retire a Spur. He's reached untouchable status.
jersey retired and everything
Mills has more game winners than LeBron this year.
Damn straight. LeBron needs to learn towel waving.
He also scored more points than Kawhi Leonard last year. You can spin this all kind of ways
