Asked about the severity of Gasol’s injury, Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan said, “He’s all right, just old. Precautionary reasons. It’s kind of like a boot when you get a ticket on the side of the road, and you got to pay the ticket. He didn’t pay his ticket.”

First time I've seen Brent since being named VP. Maybe I've missed his sightings in the past.

Should be tougher than expected game. Kings have been better and from a match up perspective it’s very different styles. Kings play the second fastest pace in the nba where SA is 26th.

Kings win by pushing the ball up and down, over and over and using their speed/athleticism to punish people who shoot poorly and turn it over.

Luckily, if SA takes care of the ball and shoots a reasonable clip, they should win.

Forbes needs to come from the bench now.
And start Patty in his place?

    This would be optimal:

    C Cunningham
    PF LMA
    SF Gay
    SG DeRozan
    PG White

But then again, the defense off the bench would be criminally bad.

I don't think that's optimal at all. First, the Kings are small on the wings. Second, that spacing is horrible.

Hope the Spurs can control that Fox kid. It'll take team defense to guard him.

Really glad to see that Rudy Gay will be back. And hopefully White can continue his good play from Saturday.

Gay isn't really a starting 3 anymore. He can provide a few minutes there that are pretty match-up dependent. LMA is a 5 most of the time, not Cunningham.

I prefer both Patty and Marco on the second unit, although it makes for a porous defensive backcourt - but at least it generally would be against the other team's second unit, too. So, perhaps they would not get torched as badly as splitting them up and spitting DWhite and Bryn. I think DWhite and Bryn have the makings of an effective NBA backcourt combo. So, I like White, Forbes, DeRozan, Cunningham & LMA to start. Patty, Marco, QPon/Bertans, Gay and Poodle/Pau on the second unit - depending on matchups.

Both Davis and Metu suffer from bobble head syndrome.

Even so. Not a fan of having two slow-footed, small guys as the forwards. At least if one were like 6-10 you could expect good rim-protection. As it is, Cun is like Gay on defense without the offense but with better rebounding. Anyone DC can check, RG can too, and anyone Rudy can't check would also do well against Dante.
