    Yeah,seen it on the news.
There`s talk of Juve being relegated to a lower division?
    Is buffon involved?
Yes, Juve will probably be relegate to a lower division. Buffon is involved, with 20 players, in "football bet" (players can't bet if are profesionist) this is another story...

Holland's D doesn't look the best to me.

    Still: GO HOLLAND!
True and on top of that our coach Marco van Basten decided to leave the top scorer of the dutch compe ion at home in Klaas Jan Huntelaar who scored 30 goals this season.

Also Seedorf and Davids have not been selected.
For the coach it's not about names he says, well Marco how you think they got their names well known?

It's not gonna happen for us....again.

You shouldn't open your mouth without having a clue of what you are saying, we already have the Mavs fans and TPark to fill that role in the forum

He is actually slimmer now, and quit drugs. He has his own personal TV show which has the highest ratings in Argentina, and he is vice-president of Boca Juniors (the club he supported since he was a kid).

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Holland as a contender. Even without Davids and Seedorf you still have a great team. I wouldn't be surprised if you made it into the semifinals. Ofcourse, thats if you don't encounter Argentina... Brasil... or England on the way

Holland has a lot of good atackers so that should not be a problem, but they will miss Davids - he's one of the best defensive midfilders.

I just hope if it happens, it doesn't happen on penalties

But it's not going to happen! Holland champions!

How about germany? What kind of team do they have? They will be at home and the home team usually does well.
I hope they don't win. They are too arrogant.

Well, their current squad is probably the worst in all their World Cup appareances. Basically it's "please Ballack save us from disaster". They have a couple of good role players and some youngsters (Klose, Podolski, Hinkel).

But, if they manage to play well as a team, as a solid unit...then they could make it. When the Germans play as a unit, they are one really tough mofos to beat. Just look at the last World Cup, their squad wasn't great, they didn't play good, but they took their chances and made it into the final.

As Gary Lineker once said: "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win."

they also had an easy path to finals. only elite team they met was Brazil in finals and they blew them away.

Can any of you recommend a good website--kind of like Spurstalk--where I could follow the World Cup? It doesn't necessarily need to be oriented toward one particular team (although it's obvious from my signature that I'm rooting for Brazil). Just a place where I can lurk in the discussion area and get a feel for the dynamics of the tournament, since I pretty much only watch soccer when the WC comes on. It can be in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

    Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there
That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming
    The drum's rum-tumming everywhere
    So prepare, say a prayer,
Send the word, send the word to beware
We'll be over, we're coming over
And we won't come back till it's over, over there

Who are you going for the world cup?

Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Germany, Mexico, and maybe even US have all legit chances.
