Wow @ chalking up the murder of this journalist to "It may or may not have been something Saudi brass knew about, but the world is a dangerous place" - Combined with his verbal attack on his own critics in the media, basically the message that's being sent is that if you report news that is disparaging then you run the risk of being murdered for it.
Trump is dismissing his own intelligence's conclusion, yet if they came to him after catching wind of a plot to assassinate him or a member of his family he would of course believe every word they said.

Trump launched 60 something cruise missiles into Syria and used his "morals" and "religious compass" to make the call based on what he said. But here, combined with his impromptu interviews and the one Pompeo later echoed at his news conference, he's completely abandoned that sense of morality and flat out admitted that it's because it's best for business. I'm not asking for a military strike on the Saudi's of course, but god damn, this is pretty ed up.
*Edit - I just read that Khasshoggi was a resident but not a citizen, so it does lessen the severity somewhat. Taking place on Turkish soil is also to be considered. But either way, saying that "best for business" makes us look like the Saudi's . That's been his thing.. Bully a Justin Trudeau and crush his hand, but defer to the "gangsters" of the world stage. It's becoming really clear who he looks up to.
