And clearly Kemba appreciates him. After Tony scored 2 baskets and Boston took time-out Kemba looked at TP like his best buddy or something
Real recognize real
Yup, there was a report that Kemba and I think Marvin Williams couldn't wait to play with Tony when they first heard the news. It's evident he's Kemba's favorite teammate tbh
Clutchest guard in franchise history doing what he does..
I sure am glad Parker didn't come into Charlotte the best shape in 7 years and is giving the most effort since the start of 2015.
I think at first glance when talking about the Spurs it's easy to say the loss of Kawhi is what's hurting them, but the truth is this team lost 5 guys who all contributed to the Spurs' success from last year's roster. Tony was the Spurs best point guard even when he had declined. No one else on the team could control the offense and the flow of the game like he could. Add to those defections, the injury to Murray, the inability to get our first round pick, Walker, acclimated due to injury, Pau out, and Rudy being hobbled, and it's easy to understand why the Spurs are less than stellar right now.
I'm glad to see Tony playing well...Pop is probably kicking himself for letting Tony walk, considering we basically have no point guard this year.
There's a handful of Tony threads, not sure which one to bump anymore
Tony tonight against the #1 seed Nuggets:
19 points, 4rebs, 3 assists in 23 minutes
and 2 steals, 1 block![]()
HOTS does it all. He's the living walking proof that advanced stats were created by nerds who don't know about basketball. Hornets fans and writers love him, tbh. The majority call him their best FA signing in forever.
Tony is better than Mills. Thats not even a question specially in 2018 ball.
The lanes are open so tony is just eating.
Mills is practiclly a shooter. If his shots arent connecting. He is useless.
Tony is also better than forbes.
He's routinely had Jamal Murray's, piss poor defender that he is, number so that stat line isn't too shocking.
I'm happy he's doing so well in Charlotte even if in limited minutes.
I'm also happy that he's no longer on the team so people can have one less thing to about. As disappointing as this season has been it was clearly the right time to part ways.
Now, the Spurs just need White to show some assertiveness and consistency on offense. He needs to start putting a string of good games together and stop with the up - down -way down play. He's no better than Tony was last year on offense at this point (clearly the defense is much better).

And I want to use Tony's new yacht next summer. That is a damn nice yacht.
Unsettling to see TP in another uniform. He was the heart and soul of the TD era & should have retired wearing the silver and black.
It was his decision to make and he made the right one. Awesome to see him have a bit of a "resurgence" after the struggles of last season.
Great signing by the Hornets. Happy for Tony.
you can tell that hornets fo and the fans love him tbh...
happy for him.. it does suck tho.. with murray out, he would have got the same role this season with the Spurs..
c'est la vie
You can tell that he is also slimmer than the last three years here
Clearly Tony needed a different kind of set, a bit of the motivation he didn't have here anymore.
I always knew he can be awesome no matter what anyone said.
I was worried with his injury that he'd be done. Glad that wasn't the case.![]()
He's been done for 4+ years now, tbh
Parker is clearly more motivated in Charlotte and I'm happy for him. I also understand why he needed the change of scenery. Not the Spurs fault and not Parker's fault. It would have been sad if he looked like he did last year or worse in Charlotte, but the fact that he went there looks like he's in great shape and is really contributing rocks.
Manu's been done since 2012 tbf
Porker fluffers bringing up Manu to deflect per par...
I get the Spurs suck and that the Murray injury would've given Tony an opportunity to play more minutes or have his old role back, but none of that invalidates that Tony is at best a bench player at this point, and that shouldn't be offensive in any way considering the career he's had.
51 points in his last three games (58 minutes total)
Hornets above .500![]()
