Forbes is from the Mills-school of "If my shot isn't falling, I'll make it worse by trying my lousy playmaking."
    Along with Gary Neal-esque defense.

    1. White is a dog. Love him.

    2. LMA has no ing touch whatsoever around the basket. He'd be such a POS without his fadeaway.

    3. Bellineli is trash. Completely hopeless against Harden + worst shot selection in the league.

Nice come-back before the crunch time misses. I won't cry over this one.
    They didn't have CP3.

Do you factor in defense in your assessment?

Pop can't grab rebounds for us. It's not like pulling TD out in the closing moments, tbh.

Aldridge is an embarrassment when the game is on the line, just a pathetic display to end this game..that missed rebound + missing a layup was the dagger..

Houston beat us with 54 threes. Not basketball anymore, tbh, so don’t care about this L.

Poeltl should have played more. The offense should have been running plays for Bertans. More could be said.

I could not agree more. Poeltl may not be an offensiv machine, but with his screens and dirty work he frees up so much space for Bertrans, Belinelli and co. that it is a shame how limited time he plays.

Amazing the Robinson, with his 28” waist and twig legs, could stand in with the big boys and rebounds, but LMA gets consistently gets easily gets knocked of balance with any little push.

Being a coach is knowing when to tear him down and when to lift him up. White knew the deal.
White, in my opinion, had a great game considering that fool he was assigned to. This is something that he could feel ty about OR... Pop can do what he did and in no particular terms tell him he did every thing Pop wanted and his best. This kinda performance will elevate White in the eyes of the refs and allow him to be more aggressive. This guy is a really good defender for this type of league. I think Bertans is also earning the respect of the league. Good that will help come playoff time.

The worst part is that Aldridge and DeRozan shot 50% from the field both and still couldn't help being their usual inefficient selves.

He's far from being the worst defender on the team. There's an Italian POS that couldn't stay in front of me on defense but always gets a pass from ST because he did a big balls dance once.

Because he got hosed on the blatant offensive no-call, then trying to play D got called for one of those “harden” fouls the refs love to call. Tough break for him.

White came in and ignited the comeback. He was knocked on his ass on a pick once and got up and rushed over to take on Harden again from Gay or whoever had picked up Harden. He is our best defender IMHO. And wasn't afraid to be on an island with one of the best offensive players in the league. Not bad for a rookie.

He'd be scoring more when he gets to the basket if he'd quit trying to be so generous with assists. Sometimes he surprises our guys because they figure he will take the shot and that can cause turnovers.

Tough break. Nice come back, but will also take the loss considering it's the Harden's Rockets and his antics after all. Not blaming this solely on Aldridge, like the majority of you all. It was the Rocket's offensive rebounds that did the Spurs.

Harden shot 19 3ptrs. If Bertans had shot 19 the Spurs would have won.

Come on. It was not so bad.
Signature 3rd quarter. Harden owning the refs. And still we could have easily won this one.

    5 FTs and 0 3pt attempts that's great basketball in 2001.

Meh, whatever. This was an expected loss on paper.

What I take from this is that the Spurs should have won it if not for that awful 3rd quarter. The improvement is real I think.

I would like to see Pop give Bertans more time. If he's not a starter, he should at least be a finisher.

I also think our "stars" are bringing the team down. Their game is just inefficient, nothing that hadn't been discussed before but it is what it is. I wished they would get traded but I know it's not going to happen. I still think the team can be good as it is. Just keep building on this recent level of play. The team is in good shape right now.

Not a bad loss. The team is better, their improvement is no fluke.
