DJIA down 500 at the open. Been awhile since we've seen such volatility.
The high numbers make it seem worse than it is. 500 points today is no big deal after coming up 1000 yesterday. The 508 point in 1987 was a 22.61% drop in one day.
I'm taking about the big swings day after day. It's not normal for the market to move 1-3% per day like it has the last eight days running.
Lot of uncertainty and conflicting signals. Tariffs, interest rate uncertainty, lowered industrial reports vs. HUGE holiday retail increase announced yesterday which is a leading indicator of consumer confidence.
Consumer confidence is one thing, manufacturing activity is another:

The lawsuit against the Trump Foundation could be a springboard to investigations of the Trump Organization.
Why?
"There's nothing but overlap"
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...s-real-n950576"It is likely that the investigation into the Trump Foundation has sufficiently overlapped with the Trump Organization that (state) investigators would be justified in extending their investigation into the Trump Organization," he said.
The foundation itself had no employees, instead relying on Trump Organization staffers to cut its checks. Prior to taking office in 2017, Trump turned over day-to-day control of his business to his adult sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization's chief financial officer. Both sons were among the charity's board members, while Weisselberg was listed as its treasurer. Weisselberg claimed not to know he was the foundation's treasurer until investigators probing the charity told him.
Family and businesses at risk?
https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/12/01/mike-pence-would-not-be-able-to-pardon-the-trump-organization/something has been missing from every analysis of the indictment question I’ve seen: whether you can indict a sitting President’s eponymous corporate en ies. Under Dellinger’s analysis, you’d have to include the Trump Organization in any conspiracy involving a Trump Tower in Moscow — it was the en y that signed the Letter of Intent, would be the en y that would obtain funding, and would be the en y that would profit...
...For virtually every other legal situation, it seems to me, existing in both natural and corporate form offers protection that can save both. But if you’re the President of the United States, simultaneously existing — and criminally conspiring — in corporate form may create all sorts of additional exposure any normal President would normally be protected from
If a cartel was ordering you to;
turn over your 11 yr old boy so he can start running drugs or whatever for the cartel
and
turn over your 12 yr old daughter so she could get gangbanged by cartel thugs
and
your wife could start blowing cartel thugs right now -
how much of a deterrent would a wall be for you?
Or would you just say to yourself,
"hmmm, you know - I think my wife and daughter getting all their holes destroyed is a good price for me to pay - to make sure that white supremacists celebrate their white supremacist wall and keep amerikkka white! I will not violate that sacred wall!"
^ what an odd racist post
There is nothing racist about truth -
unless you already are a racist.
Your post is anti-White
Anyway, the key is to force politicians, government officials and the wealthy class to face head on what is occurring. These are usually the individuals with the most influence and yet hiding in Ivory Towers. If the aftermath continues running off to the USA, why would beforementioned group change policies or rhetoric?
What percentage of these migrants do you think qualify under your conditions?
Dunno, why don't we hire some more immigration judges and find out?
Nice way to duck the question quoting Winehole, dummy.
it would be way cheaper than detention
There is no question that when you apprehend 300,000+ illegals a year you need a lot of judges.
so
right now
this administration and its racist supporters are saying,
”come here legally”
then
when the immigrants report to the border and ask for asylum theyare rejected/turned away because
”we are full”
so they look for another crossing point at which time they are arrested and treated like garbage
and all u racists then parrot;
”come here legally- like my ancestors!”
How many economic migrants from Central America per year are too many? No one in here has had the balls to put a number to the question yet.
Well, how many are coming in from there a year and staying?
