At what cost? At this point I'd rather have Derozan for his playmaking, so I wouldn't swap them back if that's what you're asking.

In a fantasy world where we simply add Kawhi back to the current roster, sure.

    Murray, DeMar, Kawhi, Aldridge, Poeltl
    Murray, White, Demar, Kawhi, Aldridge
or whatever combination would be a sick lineup and automatic ring, period.
    Then the answer is YES.
    Murray, White, DeMar, Kawhi, Aldridge

    or

    Murray, DeMar, Kawhi, Gay, Aldridge

    or

    White, DeMar, Kawhi, Gay, Aldridge

    but my favourite would be

Bryn, White, Kawhi, Bertans, and Poeltl.

He was handed the franchise and this dude took a wet dump at it...

His talent and work ethic is undeniable, but he has issues. I’ll only take him back if he severs his relationship with uncle and his entourage.

I hope, whoever was that bumped heads with Kawhi is now gone! Whether that's Tony or some else from the Spurs org, like some have suggested.

Too much damage was done with his departure. Disrespecting Spurs legends on the way out also. The front office is still capable of drafting good players so him.

no, how many back-stabbings does it take for you to understand the guy is a self-centered, fame chasing, sad little man who will only hurt the system and team spirit. The stronger he gets the more alien he is to the Spurs culture.

I’m intrigued with what Timvp has dug to be a bit sympathetic with Kawhi, at least not totally at fault. After the smoke clears and he found himself in Spurs, yup why not.

After last night's embrace between Pop and Kawhi after the game does it away your vote a little?

He would still need to own his douchbaggery from last season.

Nope and the results of this poll disgust me.

Ya'll gotta have some ing pride man.

If Cleveland had such pride, they'd be going on 55 years of no major les.

I would take him back. I would put a clause in his contract that if he suffers any injury that any second opinion that causes him to sit out will cost him pay for that game etc.

What Kawhi did is 2408240280240924809827135735 times worse than what Lebron did.

The way LeBron and Kawhi left are different, but Cleveland fans felt betrayed by their so-called "hometown" kid just like Spurs fans felt/feel betrayed by Kawhi. There were videos of Cavs fans burning his jersey and all that. I agree that Kawhi Leonard the way Kawhi left the Spurs was dirtier than the "Decision," but the impact it had on Cleveland was probably worst because they didn't receive anything in return. The Spurs at least were able to get an All Star player in return. Cleveland was left high and dry. Dan Gilbert even got mixed up in all that mess.

LeBron James came back and Cavs fans welcomed him back with open arms. He made the Cavs tops in the East and eventually brought them a Championship.

My point, winning heals a lot of pain. A healthy Kawhi coming back to SA (again close to zero chance of happening) would certainly make the Spurs serious contenders, which would make almost all Spurs fans forget about the summer of 2018.

    Wow.

So because Kawhi and Pop had a "good game" talk at the end of the regulation, fans think that THAT actually MEANS something, such as returning to SA next year?

    LMAO.

Not the same, Lebron is a game changer, Kawhi isnt.
Kawhi stabbed Spurs on the back by not playing a whole season while he could, and thank god there was a season remaining on that contract, if not Spurs would get 0 too.
Lebron respected the contract, Kawhi ted on it.

Nobody wants a backstabber who thinks he is the best thing ever, good enough to avoid cheering for his team mates during games regardless they are Spurs or Raptors.

Spurs culture is pretty special, other fan bases may take it lightly.

Also Kawhi has no blood, no passion, you cant win championships like that, getting back a traitor for nothing.

What Cleveland fans were upset at the most was the on air tv special to announcing he was dumping them for a new chick. That pushed their anger over the top.

Of course you take him back. I'm sure the front office would. The real question is: does Kawhi want to be back in a Spurs uniform? And the answer to that is almost certainly no.

This thread and poll were actually before all that. However, that embrace at the end of the game probably has made some feel a certain type of way.

And that's why this thread is pathetic. If he were ever to come back it's because the relationship was somehow mended so of course even his biggest critics (including me) would welcome him back with open arms. Not happening though, so even entertaining that idea and starting this thread comes off as extremely pathetic and desperate.
