Those early season losses might be too much to overcome. Have played really well lately yet haven't made up any ground. Still at the 7th seed.

They don't have the personnel to defend with a better scheme. A switching zone defense is literally the best they can do.
There's still half a season left to try new things and see what works, and/or master the scheme's they're using now.

Forbes has no business taking 16 shots in a 2 game span, let alone in 1 game. Can anyone explain why he took more shots than the guy who scored the 3rd most points in a game in franchise history?

They were just 5th I think, stuff changes nightly with records so close.

But it still won’t change that DeRozan, Bryn, Patty, and Beli are generally defensive liabilities and are all major parts of the rotation. I agree with robz that they just don’t have the personnel and can be exposed for it.

He had a lot of open looks, just missed them today. But I agree, it’s gross that Forbes gets so many touches.

Yeah but I still don't see it. They're losing too many games that they're supposed to win. Looks like an 7-8 seed and a 1st round exit again.

If they had good defenders, yeah. Unfortunately they don't. White emerging has been huge but they still lack any form of defensive talent on the wings. Like was said previously, the only average or better defenders they have are White, LMA, and Poeltl.

Just want a healthy team and a favorable matchup, having game 7 on the road or at home won’t make or break us

1st round exit incoming because, inexperienced backcourt and the elephant in the room named Derozan. Can Derozan be above average for 4 games in a playoff series without us having home court advantage? You know the answer to that question.
Lets hope the young guys develop into something special in the next few years.

I know blkyn is the optimist around here, but how can you look at the roster and think the personnel they have will give them a substainable defense. They desperately need another 3 and D guy, but I’m thinking PATFO likes Gasol next to Aldridge while our injury prone 3rd option sits out.

I don't think that's clear at all, aside from GS.. OKC has the toughest remaining schedule, and Denver's isn't exactly easy. Plus, CP3 will come back, who knows how that impact what Haren is doing

I meant talent wise. GS is obvious, but Denver is deep as at every position, Houston has the reigning MVP and quite possibly the current best player in the NBA, and OKC has two Top 15 players as well as the best defense in the NBA. Can't see the Spurs beating any of them in a series.

I prefer losing to jobbers over good teams, losing to teams just shows a letdown/lack of focus

No doubt. (Tho Patty has been better) it's not what we're used to as Spurs fans, but some nights, it'll come down to if those guys can score more than they give up. I think it's possible, especially with how well we shoot the 3 ball

OKC struggled tonight to get going, and we won without Gay. This OKC team isn't like team's past imo. I worry more about thunderefs showing up. WB seeks out triple doubles more than anything, doesn't really take over games like he used to.

Their scrubs routinely show up against the Spurs as well, and like I said that defense is enough to get them through.

Don't care about this loss since I believed it is what I call a scheduled loss. It's very hard to beat an elite team twice in the same week. Spurs got the split they needed with OKC this week.

OKC was surrounding him. If they're going to pay that much attention to LMA, DeMar should have 35 plus easy and the role-players should be uber efficient. Didn't happen.

Pop better get with the program and stop playing Pau. That was the difference with the team going on a tear and it’s the difference with them sucking. WTF! Sorry there is no upside to playing Pau. Get rid of him or more easily Eubanks and bring in Lonnie!

Really hurt that DDR could only give us 1 quality quarter and definitely missed Rudy tonight
