    Pro-transparency.

It was in the public interest to disclose the DNC's thumb on the scale in the primaries( Debbie Wasserman Schulz lost her job over it) and HRC's influence peddling through the Clinton Foundation.

    If not, why not?

The NYT sure thought so. Do you disagree?

Victim of WikiLeaks taunts Roger Stone about going to prison in WaPo op-ed

Before the leaks, Stone infamously said that it would soon be “Podesta’s time in the barrel,” referring to a vulgar joke.

Now Podesta said the same of Stone.

“Stone’s connection with and boasting about WikiLeaks during the campaign has always been fishy,” he writes.

“But thanks to special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation, the truth is finally coming out.

Friday’s indictment alleges that a senior campaign official ‘was directed’ (and by whom?) to contact Stone about the WikiLeaks releases even after it was widely reported that they were a Russian hacking operation.”

Podesta mocked the state of the White House,

suggesting everyone there should be concerned about going to prison,

then mocked Stone’s flamboyant dandy style.

“The remaining West Wing staff and the president’s family must be looking over their shoulders,

wondering if in adopting the Trump style, they have traded a fancy West Wing office for a cell,” he writes.

“Stone’s well-do ented sartorial tastes always favored wide pinstripes,

but I wonder whether prison garb will be up to Stone on Style standards.”

Huge Trove of Leaked Russian Do ents Is Published by Transparency Advocates

A group of transparency advocates on Friday posted a mammoth collection of hacked and leaked do ents from inside Russia,

a release widely viewed as a sort of symbolic counterstrike against Russia’s dissemination of hacked emails to influence the American presidential election in 2016.

Most of the material, which sheds light on Russia’s war in Ukraine

as well as ties between the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church,

the business dealings of oligarchs and much more,

had been released in Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere, sometimes on obscure websites.

But the sheer volume of the material — 175 gigabytes — and the technical challenges of searching it meant that its full impact may not be felt for some time.

The volume is many times greater than the total known material stolen by Russian military intelligence from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign nearly three years ago.

Trump regime months overdue on imposing additional sanctions on Russia over spy poisoning

the Trump administration still has not imposed the additional sanctions, which are statutorily mandated

The State Department declined to tell MSNBC when they would finally comply with a law compelling them to take action over the poisoning last year of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal with Novichok.

"There is no deadline in the law for imposing
sanctions," the State Department said, adding,

"We intend to proceed according to the statutory requirements."

Expect Roger Stone to ‘fold like a cheap lawn chair’ under Mueller indictment: Former federal

Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner appeared on MSNBC with Chris Matthews on Friday night, and said that

he expects Stone’s at ude will soon change.

Kirschner said that Mueller’s methodology has been to

charge people with crimes that can be very easily proved to get them to cooperate and

provide information on the crimes that are harder to prove.

Stone is charged with threatening another witness in the case, which Kirschner said is “ridiculous.”

“I think Stone will probably fold like a cheap lawn chair,” Kirschner said.

“Come on board, and join team Mueller.

    Because if he doesn’t—

when I read what’s in this 24-page indictment,

every word in there you know Bob Mueller can back up with three pieces of evidence, and

convicting Stone on this will be a cakewalk.”

Watch: Roger Stone complains about ‘censorship’ and says Trump should pardon Julian Assange in

Roger Stone opined about being “not wealthy”

Cuomo pressed, asking Stone if he’d accept a pardon — but the indicted Trump adviser wouldn’t budge.

“I don’t expect to be convicted,” Stone said, “so I’m not going to address it. I don’t address hypothetical questions, as you know.”

asked Stone how he’s been getting his current “jam.”

    “I believe in god,”

    the president’s longtime associate said.

“I know what I have and have not done. I have a great wife and family that support me.”

“I have to raise $2 million because I’m not a wealthy man and the legal expenses so far have been very damaging and very devastating,

Kalief Browder spent three years in Riker's for a backpack he didn't steal -- mostly in solitary confinement -- because no one could post the $3,000 bail.

He committed suicide two years after he was released.

His family just settled its civil right lawsuit against NY for 3.3 million dollars.

Mandatory sentencing has resulted in life sentences for de minimis crimes like stealing a bar of soap. Cash bail when applied to poor folks can turn a misdemeanor arrest into a life altering catastrophe.

It shouldn't be so. The person who can pay his way out for the same offense puts the lie to impartial justice. In a vendible system such as ours, those who cannot pay are at a great disadvantage. The fates of the rich and the poor, for the very same violations, are strikingly disparate.

You can get bars of soap with food stamps

Because you can't conceive it, then it must not be so.

In this way, dull-witted scoffing dispels the mundane suffering of the whole world.
