Something must have happened with that Marc Gasol deal, perhaps maybe Spurs talking, Toronto talking. Memphis is definitely going to move him before the deadline but I don't think the Hornets trade is a done deal yet. If it was it would have been announced by now and Hornets did not sit out any key players tonight.

With White out possibly until the middle of March the Spurs basically have to make a move for a defender. If not they risk falling out of the playoffs.

This Laker situation was beyond botched by Magic and Co. If they don’t land AD after whiffing on Kawhi and PG while at the same time alienating and tanking their youth’s value it is so dire that again Magic should be fired.

Lakers have been an embarrassment as a franchise in the progressive, analytics era..they look so lost without being able to do what they always did, which is rely exclusively on the appeal of being a celebrity in LA..
I'd imagine the Lakers make at least one other minor trade to clear up the logjam (Caldwell-Pope?), because they already had too many veteran rotation types, many of whom are volatile.
Prince is closer to a slightly bigger Snell than he is a true 3 and D wing, but he's not necessarily a finished product and still easily the best realistic option.
Forbes and a 1st likely gets it done, but they don't have the balls to make that type of trade in season. Maybe in the off season, but he could be gone before then.
Think there's an outside chance they trade for Johnson, but I expect nothing as usual because they're probably too concerned with their precious culture and "system" to alter their mighty fringe playoff team.
And before you bring up the draft picks, they'll just be hoping to select someone with the profile of one of them and even if successful, by the time they get them up and running, Aldridge and Gay will more than likely be past their prime.

Just keep both 1st round picks and move up more in the lottery to get someone you really like. Don’t trade a first round to get rid of Gasol’s horrible contract and trade for a player that has a been a bust so far.
