Already sick and tired of this bum low IQ and lack of composure. He just so desperately trying to play heroball and in the process choked couple of games with few other close shaves..

Pop needs to trust White more. He is already a steadier hand than Derozan..
    100% agree

Reading this thread and other posts about tonight's game without having watched it, you'd think White was 13-13 instead of the 4-13 he really was. I'm not saying that means he had a bad game because he didn't and contributed in other areas but the truth is that LMA, DeRozan, and Gay have to be our closers in that order, tbh. And I say this knowing DeMar is a choker but he's still a more reliable scorer than White.
    no doubt

Remember when folks thought that us preferrig to trade for Robert Covington were crazy?
I would loved to have Covington on this team, but not over the Raptors trade. With Savic and Covington on this team we will not have a secondary rim protector or anyone who can handle and play make at least adequately on this team when white is out. I was hoping previously the wolves would take mills and Gasol for Covington.

Derozan played a great game until he decided to go into hero mode down the stretch. Couldn’t agree more with putting the ballin whites hands down the stretch instead

I don't mind him with the ball, but wish he'd go down in the post more. He seems to do better there, and can better spot his teammates. He played a good game, so I don't mind him having the ball in his hands. It's probably best for the team to build his confidence in those moments again.

But rather him have it in different spots than he had it

So I'm not the only one who saw Sarah Palin there. I know she was a basketball player - she may have even been a college player. Nope. I checked - only played through high school.....

The problem is, he's useless off ball and since he can't space the floor or defend (though to be fair, he's incredibly the 4th worst perimeter defender on this roster), he ideally shouldn't close most of the time . . . but that obviously wouldn't fly.

As predictably brutal as he was down the stretch, this team can't catch a break. The worst part of the late surge wasn't that it happened, but that you knew it would. The only thing that stopped the Nuggets from completing it, was the fact that it was at home.
Appears like a sighting of playoff Derozan.

This no defense playin'; butterfingers havin'; low BBIQ thinkin' playa"! It's no wonder why The Raptors FO was so eager to get rid of him when the opportunity came up to trade him for No. 2. BUT I also blame Pop for crunch time play draw-ups & who will have the ball & score in those situations. There's that saying: Fool me once: shame on you. Fool me twice: shame on me. Fool me three times: I'm an idiot, lol. I'd would have thought that Pop would have addressed this issue by now, but I guess he doesn't want to hurt DD10's feelings, boo-hoo (IDIOT!). Looking back, yeah, I can see why he got benched in 4th quarter siuatons of a game when he played with the Raptors because he would just mess things up! Breathe, breathe... I'm okay, but hopfully Pop & his staff will seriously address this matter and correct it, too. DW4 needs to be trusted more, & just let him fly! To be honest, in my opinion, DW4 is more valuable to this team than DD10 is right now. Yeah, DD10 can score; he can assist, but in cruch time... get the ball out of his hands! Did I say, please? PLEASE!!!

You can tell that the dude idolizes Kobe. Unfortunately, as much of a chucker Kobe was, he delivered a lot more than DeRozan has.

DDR is more than capable; the issue is at times he goes from making the right plays to forcing things. It’s not like the other 3 quarters don’t exist. He does well there. It’s just him pushing too hard vs trusting the system.

Just imagine how many assists and 3pt shots he would create if he was passing the ball the right way.

Having the ability to make the defense gather around you while driving is an elite skill in today's NBA.

Making the pass at the RIGHT time is the foundation of something called the beautiful game.

Of course he leads the team in assists,he is the main ball handler/slasher.

He does a really god job of drawing extra defenders or getting into the paint and kicking out. Often times he's leaving his feet without knowing what he wants to do, so hopefully he gets that under control. Still about twice as much than the next guy, and he shares the ball-handling with White, and LMA of course gets his touches, so still impressive what he's doing and far better at finding guys than I thought he'd be.

Do you remember how much Tony Parker was getting from this board when he was dribble dribble and passed the ball at 5 seconds left? DDR is the main ball handler, not White. When they are both in game and especially in the clutch.Vs Denver White deferred to DDR in the last 6 mins and DeRozan was running point.

Nobody is saying he is not capable of drawing defenders.Nobody is saying he NEVER passes the ball.We are saying he should pass more sensibly.

I had the exact same issue with #2 at times, many times actually, but Nephew was actually hitting his shots and even more importantly with the game on the line.
So even though he was passing even less,i couldn't complain."Hey that was ugly and he should have passed the ball.Oh well,he made the 2 and we won,all is good"

The TP thing was different IMO. I agree DeMar's decision making can improve tho, and that comes with repe ion, especially for a guy whos been known to be a scorer first.

Imagine paying a guy 27m and be forced to take the ball away from him in crunch time and people here are anxious we make the playoffs.

Pop wants Demar to learn how to close the game just like how he trained Kawhi. We won't go far if he can't close the game like an elite player. This is a painful way of learning and it might cost us games but if Demar gets it, then we have a chance to go far during the post season.

You cannot teach or coach the clutch gene to a player. Not at 30 at least.
If your heart rate elevates to the sky,if your mind is not capable of reading the floor,if you your pants every time the game is on the line,no coach and no system is gonna help you make the basket, the right pass, the correct decision.

DeMar has had plenty of moments of scoring in the clutch, heck early on this year he won games for us. Consistency is the issue. And you make the right pass by getting reps, watching film, and learning from your mistakes. Even Patty as a playmaker this year vs last year (when he was learning) is night and day. His P&R passes have been much better this year.

Yeah dude and Lebron hit that 3 against Orlando (?),a ton years ago.Was/is Lebron clutch?
There is no shame for the number 1 option giving away the ball in the clutch.Lebron had Allen and Irving. He was never clutch.

even if you're the most clutch player of all time,if the correct play to win you the game is passing the ball,YOU PASS THE BALL.
