I think at this point I'd rather have Eubanks than Metu. I'm not even sure if Metu really has higher upside, Eubanks does some things pretty well from an eye test perspective.

If we don’t draft a big it’s almost a guarantee that we sign Eubanks you can tell Metu is not happy as a big with a signed contract loosing playing time to a undrafted player.
He should work on not sucking then.

I'm wondering now what backup big the Spurs will be taking with them into the playoffs.

Eubanks has been a pleasant surprise. He passes the eye test, moves very well and gets out of the way. He should continue working on cutting hard to the basket. He has quick hands and tons of energy, a poor man’s version of David Lee?

Eubanks is ineligible for the playoffs, unless his contract is converted to full NBA status by 11 April.

Blair’s number won’t be called. At Whataburger, they bring the food to you. He just leaves the number at the table.
That Whataburger joke is so overplayed.

Thats intersting so if we do sign him what type of contract do you see us offering. I just don’t see us going into playoffs with only two big men.

Technically, in this day and age, both Rudy and Davis would be considered 'bigs'. It's not like Eubanks is gobbling up minutes, or anything. He only sees occasional spot minutes. Rotations tighten up for the playoffs, anyway.

You have to assume injuries and being in foul trouble. Spurs are definitely short one big, unless they start playing Metu.

Umm no. Lol...I like Bert but he would get killed playing against Cousins or Adams. I just don’t know if you sign Eubanks if you are going to bring over Nikola or be able to draft Goga or Fernando?

And you think Eubanks could defend that much better than Bertans vs those 2?

For me it’s simple I’d rather have Bertans out there instead of Eubanks regardless of the cir stances. Eubanks isn’t ready.

Moore is on a two-way right? Bring him up to fill in for Gay! Wait... you mean he's also inelligible for playoff action?

Yup. Didn't bother mentioning it before, because he hasn't been called up at all yet.

Eubanks is like 6'8". Next time you look at him, subtract the hair. That's how a player with a good post game, rebounding ability, and some shot block hops goes undrafted.

Every place I have read is 6’10 at 250pds Ben Moore is listed as 6’8 and I know Eubanks is taller then him in person.

Moore and Heustis look to be the same height. Eubanks is on the short side for a center, I figure he's around as tall as David Lee or Nick Collison. Metu is the same height.

A nice tradition of the Spurs in the past has been to bring up one or two of the Austin club who have earned a 10 day in the spotlight because of their development, potential, or hard work in the G League. I wonder if the tradition will be continued this year with the Spurs still working on the roster with who is available and finding a slot. I didnt read all the other pages so if someone else has brought this up, forgive me. You could refer me to your post by number.

I think a couple of guys could have been called up Nick Johnson and Ben Moore but we did bring up Eubanks and our second round pick Metu is playing in G League. I think this year with us getting DEROZZ and Poodle and signing two vets Cunningham and Poindexter limited who we could bring up.
