Steve Ballmer is a rich f$$$ing threat...
The Clippers are intent on moving into a new arena in Inglewood. Their opposition:
- Knicks owner James Dolan, whose company owns the nearbyForum and wants to protect that building as the area’s premier entertainmentspace
- Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, whose team currently shares anarena with the Clippers, which helps keep the Clippers as Los Angeles’second-class team
- As the Clippers revealed their plan to move, Buss emailedwith Lakers executive Linda Rambis and Irving Azoff, a music executive close to Dolan.
- Buss in an email, via Nathan Fenno of The Los Angeles Times:
- “Didn’t Ballz see what we did to my brother?? He will havenothing but Clippers basketball. Whoopee.”
- I’m not sure which aspect of this email I enjoy more:
- Buss calling Ballmer “Ballz,” a nickname that is now sure tostick. Let’s get a Lakers-Clippers rivalry cooking.
- orBuss using her own brother (probably Jim, though maybeJohnny) as an example of what happens to someone who crosses her. That’s some realCorleone stuff.
- Both are great!

it’s odd that theLakers are interested in keeping the Clippers out of Inglewood if they’re not leaving Staples center. The Staples Center owner also owns a piece of the Lakers. What’s also surprising is that the Lakers seriously considered going back to the Forum.

Steve Ballmer is a far more accomplished business man and infinitely wealthier than Buss and Dolan combined. She fired her brother who technically worked for her. Oooohhhh scary stuff there. What’s she going to do to one of the richest men on the planet to ruin him exactly? What a joke.

Ballmer actually worked for and earned what he has while Dolan and Buss won the gene pool. I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that they probably have more in common than just owning basketball teams. Jeanie reveals a little of her own sense of en led arrogance with her statements.

If he spends his own money to build an arena, I’m sure anyof the surrounding municipalities would openly welcome the Clippers as tenants.Dolan and Buss can protest all they wish.

Wow, this drama with Jeanie and the Lakers just keeps getter better. I seriously look forward to the weekly Laker meltdowns, whether they come from up top or in the locker room.
Now in accordance with our hypersensitive society, can we ban Jeanie from Staples for referring to Ballmer as "Ballz?" The entire Laker team is offended by that term.
The Lakers: "Didn't Ballz see what we did to my brother?"
Also the Lakers:"Why does everyone hate us and refuse to gift us their superstars for free?"
Just a hunch, but I'm guessing that talking about other teams' owners behind their back, blatantly tampering with other teams' players in the media, etc. isn't a great way to get the rest of the league to do what you want.
Tbh, I don't even understand why they're so shook at the idea of the Clippers getting their own arena in the first place. It's really none of their business and they should be busy paying attention to their own dumpster fire of a team instead.
