" Dirk is soft"
"we sould have drafted Paul Pierce!"
"Mavs are the one and done boys"
Fans, local media all used to crap on Dirk but now they argue he may be greatest DFW legened ever ... over Emitt, Troy, Staubach, Beltre, Modano etc.

tbh I think the fan base of basically any team would have done the same with dirks career arc, not just dallas fans
a lot of things in his career had a horrible appearance, but werent really as bad as things looked. he had a lot of unfortunate things at unfortunate times
The interesting part is Mavericks haven't made it out of the 1st Round since 2010-11
