There's no such as a fake Christian. If you believe in Christ you're a Christian. You don't need to be a good person, be consistent, be correct. Just believe in Christ and you're all set.
The real issue is that any monotheistic or theistic religion is a sham. Religion is a self help method people use when they cannot cope with mortality and life in general. Being a real Christian is no better than being a fake one as long as it helps the user. They aren't getting anything else from it.

Still a Christian, since they believe you get to heaven based not on works but through the grace of God. Christian doesn't mean heaven bound. You can be Christian and live in pure sin constantly. Christian just means you believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God.
