I stay proud of this org!
Cool thread OP.
I wonder if the Spurs still have the most international players of any NBA team? For a long time they did.
Too lazy to count how many internationals we have, but iirc, I heard somewhere that Mavs have 9 internationals, so maybe they have the most.
Tbh the guys seem enjoying each other’s company reminiscent of 2014 team
Anyone else get the feeling the Spurs are setting up Messina to take over soon? All these international players going to make him feel right at home...
That's why Patty gets the Mils, guard plus social director. After his playing career is done, I wouldn't be surprised if Mills works for the Spurs or some other team's front office.
Spurs have had internationals for the better part of two decades, far longer than Ettore has been on the staff.
This
But its a good question though. I'm truly curious who the Spurs have in mind as the successor. They must have talked about it by now.
I really wanted it to be Mike Bud a while back but I doubt he leaves Milwaukee anytime soon. And i don't blame him.
God I hope not. He ing sucks.
I don't think Ettore's on deck. I think it's either lure Mike Bud back, or Ime. I can't find it now, but I remember reading something about the Spurs re-assuring Ime that he wasn't losing his spot when they hired Ettore.
Now it's time to blow it up and let this group go out to other teams and spread the Spurs' culture of diversity and hope to the rest of the NBA. And clear some cap space.
Just out of curiosity, what are DeRozan, Forbes, and Gay doing in that picture? Does it add to the diversity if the team has some American black guys? Or are Brooklyn and Compton considered foreign countries?
Compton is basically Lagos and the Mississippi Delta is basically Cameroon
Dallas leads this year with eight:
Antetekounmpo
Barea
Broekhoff
Doncic
Kleber
Mejri
Nowitzki
Powell
Hmmm... is Porzingis, the Latvian Unicorn also on this team as well? If so, then, this really makes for a loaded International Flava Team!
Zero minutes played, but yes #9.
Not sure where to put this, but it's too good not to share:
The guy who has never traveled anywhere (except one Canadian border town and one Mexican border town) strikes again.
Remind me again: why can't you get a passport?
Why is Instagram Baller in there instead of Derrick White?
Where the are Rudy and DD at? Probably getting ed up in Baltimore, imo.
It's better that they are not in there, i like this photo as is.
Gonna make this a poster tbh.
One less diseased got. So what. They still have plenty.
What does that mean?
