So basically it's like the Spurs have the 2nd seed in the West in the 1st round now, since they just stole HCA and the Spurs are top 3 or so with home court record (Denver is up there as well so beating them at home when your road record is , in the playoffs, that's huge).
I'm surprised it took me this long to notice it, but one of DeChoker's biggest problems is his re ed ass doesn't know how to create any separation before going up for his fadeaway. Nephew for example, is amazing at throwing his body to keep the defender grounded before rising up for his. You'd think he'd figure it out after all these years, especially since he's not bad at throwing his body into defenders when driving.

I don't know why people here is so negative, everyone played good D and we won. That's a great start for this rather inexperienced team.
Spurs need to find a way to get Aldridge easy buckets that are not coming off the left block. Put him in pick & roll and pick & pop action to get him going. Also in transition when he got deep position. Those post ups don't work when he gets doubled. His fadeaway is only money if he has one foot in the paint before he turns over his right shoulder. He's catching the ball too far out

Seeing Forbes do well Is great to see.
DDR is going to get crapped on but he got some big rebounds and ended with a double double. Not a great game by any means but he wasn't terrible either

LMA and DeChoker need to be deferring to him, not the other way around.
At least we won't get swept, tbh... but Nuggets getting nervous and kinda being happy to be there was somewhat expected, IMO.
Good won to start the playoffs
Both teams competed hard to see who could choke the hardest. But the Spurs had a few guys who came up big. That one laser 3-pointer by Bertans was a game changer. He's really struggled lately, but he stepped into that one like an assassin, and stopped Denver's momentum. If the Spurs don't get that 3, the Spurs get killed in the last few minutes.
And Forbes - whatever shortcomings he has, he's grown a pair. This team needs that.
Murray's injury revealed the future of the Spurs.
I'm glad the Spurs won but the Nuggets MISSED a lot of open shots tonight. They had wide- ing-open shots and they missed them. The Spurs will have to do a much better job on defense if they want to win this series. The Spurs will have to hope Denver lets the moment get the best of them again.
