I am still counting on Bavetta having a coronary during a game. Hopefully it's tomorrow if this is true.
Nevermind. I guess it could be Bavetta though Nies has not worked this series yet. Maybe Bavetta and Nies are both working the game.

Let's just agree to disagree then. And is there such a thing as ass cancer?![]()
The Crawfords, Danny and Joey(and yes they are related) are the best refs in the NBA...and honestly I like Javie too...he's consistent if nothing else.
I don't mind Bavetta as long as the Spurs are at home. Bavetta is a nightmare for the road teams. Javie is hands-down the worst official in the league.
Now Bavetta's one of the classiest refs in the game. I'll give him that. Steve Javie...one of my co-workers told me he's the only ref that's ever ejected David Robinson. I don't know if that's true, though.
Now Joey Crawford...I guess we learned this post-season not to throw mouthpieces at him! I hope Joey Crawford refs Game 1 of the Pistons/Heat series. It'll be interesting to see if Udonis Haslem throws a mouthpiece at him AGAIN!
I haven't seen Violet Palmer ever since she reffed her first NBA Playoff game, though. I heard she's also a WNBA ref, so she may be busy with that right now.
I have my own sources and i personally know that one of the refs is gonna be Bavetta. believe me or not its up to you, we'll see game time

This time of the year you may see two of the "top" refs at the same game. I would not be surprised to see Bavetta and D. Crawford.
Bavetta did game 4.
I thought you couldn't do two games in a series with that quick of a turnaround?
I expected Jack Nies, Danny Crawford, and whoeverelse.
I wasn't expecting Bavetta so soon either. I was just taking people at their word. I think D. Crawford did game 1 against Dallas.
G4 was in Dallas. I think the restriction is two games in 14 days in the same town.
One thing you're guaranteed to get with Bavetta, lots of calls from him when he's out of position and doesn't see the play.
Posted this elsewhere with more detailed reasoning, but Bavetta has to be right.
I'm guessing Bavetta, Delaney, and D. Crawford.
Javie is the most likely interloper on that trio, replacing either Delaney or Crawford.
I hope Danny Crawford isn't the ref. If he is the spurs might as well start celebrating now. He hates Dallas.
I've said for years that I think Danny Crawford is one of the very best officials in the game.
With that said, I've come to think that in terms of just calling the game and not getting caught up in other things, Mike Callahan is probably the best guy going right now -- that guy is a rock and doesn't seem to care what anyone says about him.
We need the little sandbag eye gouger things to throw..
Instant replay.. 2 per half per team.
Uh... isn't Dan a fit middle-aged black guy with a moustache and Joey a fat balding white geezer?
Whott,
Are you sure Dan Crawford and Joey Crawford are related?

Stern will be in attendance so the refs will be doing their best I hope.
If your team is a gritty, defensive-minded team, then you probably like Dan Crawford as a ref.
I don't think he hates Dallas. Cuban, perhaps, but not the Mavs.
Anyone have pics of the mouthpiece being thrown at Joey Crawford?
Gloria Estefan bought it off eBay.
