If this series doesn’t highlight how important role players are in the playoffs i’m not sure what does.

If the bucks can consistently hit open shots they would’ve blown out the raptors. Conversely if the raptors couldn’t hit their outside shots they would’ve lost.

It’s not Kawhi vs Giannis. It’s more like Middleton vs Lowry or Bogdan vs van fleet.
Yeah but a lot of luck there.
    Game 1 = Lopez game
    Game 2 = Ilyasova game
    Game 3 = Powell game
    Game 4 = Ibaka game
Game 5 = Van Vleet Game

The biggest non-Spurs game of the year for us Spursfans.

    - Kawhi wins and the trade becomes the most lopsided traded in Basketball History.

    - Mods might delete this, but there is no denying this is every bit part of the spurs future reputation. The PATFO reputation is on the line.

PATFO Haters will cheer for Leonard most likely While PATFO fluffers will do the opposite.

    Bucks 110 Raptors 98 imo.

    Who you got?

Freddy isn't having another career night. Giannis is due for a big game. I think Bucks win this one.

Personally, I just want the team to win that has a better chance against GS. Beginning to think it may be Raptors, but still undecided. May the better team win.

MIL has no answers. Giannis is completely flustered and all the holes in his game are being exposed in the half court. TOR wins.

But OP is not really a Spurs fan and the premise of this thread is silly

I'm going with the San Antonio Bucks! My issues with #2 (in more ways than one- thanks Chris Duel) has nothing to do with his ability to play basketball. If I didn't know he was a great player I wouldn't care. However the concept of this being a 'trade,' as if we thought it would be a good idea to trade Kawhi, is bull . He quit on the team and is probably the biggest bag to have ever played in the NBA. Kawhi Leonard. I'm rooting against the mother er and will root for the Warriors before that sucker.....just sayin'!

    Do I sound bitter?

I know - but you have proven lately to be more of a Kawhi fan than Spurs fan. You may have once rooted for SA, but it’s pretty clear how Kawhi goes is how you go. Hence your avi and content of post.

Its ok. Not being a Spurs fan is not a knock or anything.

I hear what you're saying, but I think Giannis and Bud will adjust accordingly. The Bucks losing four in a row doesn't seem probable, unless they continue to shoot like her from the free-throw line. So yeah I'm rooting for the Bucks, but I also think they'll win. If so, I think they take game 7 as well.

I would be stunned if the Bucks won this game. They're clearly mentally shaken and have no counter. Their only chance is to keep it close, hope the Raptors get tight and it's one of those miracle, fluky, infamous finishes, where they eke it out at the end.

I expect them to start strong, but ultimately fizzle out and suc b to s bag's coronation.

Raptors have too much riding on this season (not only the possibility of s bag leaving, but Lowry, Gasol, Green and Ibaka, will all no longer be good enough to fulfill the roles they currently do soon enough) to go down in 4 or 5.

Unfortunately, I think that very desperation (those aforementioned names have been on good teams for a long time, but never gotten over the hump; the urgency they'll feel will be extremely difficult for the Bucks to match) gets the Raptors over the hump.

There is no adjustment MIL can make that will solve their inability to score in half court offense. Unless they can get out on the break a ton, then they are in deep doo doo

The PATFO reputation is on the line.
The only way PATFO's reputation is on the line is if Kawhi sucks.

Then you could say PATFO blew it by moving up to take Kawhi at 15 (and trading a popular player to do so).

If Kawhi plays lights out it just confirms PATFO's judgement at the time that it mattered -- they took a nobody out of San Diego State and made him a Finals MVP.

Sorry, but rewriting history is a tough job. You can't just stumble up to the bar and do it.

Why do people keep saying this is the worst trade ever like the Spurs really wanted to trade Kawhi? It wasn’t much the front office could really do to make the trade close to fair.

Im rooting for Milwaukee but I really want Kawhi to stay in Toronto so the Spurs will not have to worry about playing him a lot.

because instead of getting draft picks we are sinking 30 million a year into a ing loser. I’d rather have the 60th pick than this idiot

Middleton needs a big game and Giannis needs to stop driving into 5 guys and pass the ball out. Do those 2 things and they win.

Thats great that you would rather have the 60th pick and see the team lose games. Unfortunately for you the front office, coaching staff, the players, and actual fans of the team want to see the team win games or at least try to field a winning team. It’s a business and they are trying to make money.

Of course Demar as a player isn’t in the same stratosphere as Kawhi but he is a good player who helped the team stay afloat and will assist in making the young players better while still competing for a playoff spot.

I can understand being pissed if the front office traded away a quality player without being put in the horrible situation they were put in but that wasn’t the case. They made the most out of a bad situation. I have a feeling that no matter what the team got in return a lot of you guys would have complained.

Kawhi is the best player, game in Toronto, raps by 10 (this is irrelevant to the Spurs, now if he re-signs with the raptors ...)
