Chase Hughes: Tremont Waters says he has visits with the Pacers and Spurs lined up. Matur Maker heads to Milwaukee next (where his brother Thon played).
I see Gordon Hayward before the injury, he does have 3 and D potential the Spurs need

Picks are lottery tickets, still 8, 10, 17, 35, 41, & 42 is a lot. Probably will try and package picks for young talent or higher picks.
Curious if PATFO/ ATL would be interested in a Bertans for the 35th pick deal. Hard to see how he gets more than 15 mpg if Poeltl starts. Swapping him for a solid pick to Atlanta and clearing out a roster spot and trading his salary into their cap space once the league year turns over.
I like Bertans a lot but not sure of his future with the team.
For me, this has been one of the most anticipated drafts that I can remember. I feel like there is going to be a lot of movement, not with the spurs but the rest of the league, and then FA starts a week later. Should be fun.
Based on the way he was benched against Denver, I think Bertans is a likely trade candidate. Your idea isn't bad. But I am much more interested in clearing out the logjam in the backcourt. A Bertans trade AND a trade to move a G would be 2 more trades than the Spurs usually make in an offseason.
Me too. This is most ive researched about prospects....ever.

19. San Antonio Spurs: Goga Bitadze, C, Republic of Georgia29. San Antonio Spurs (from Toronto): Matisse Thybulle, SF, Washington
Bitadze's name has sure popped up on a lot of recent mocks #19.
This ATL/BKY trade should also be a good reminder to us on why flexibility is such a good thing. You have options and aren’t “forced” to make sub-optimal decisions. Cap space is not just about signing free agents in a one year window; it can be a powerful tool in obtaining assets and brokering favorable deals.
That's the Big 3 effect. Why care and do research about the draft when your team is blessed with Basketball Gods and Legends for 20 years.
Spurs fans who were into college ball informed the rest of us of what we're looking at potentially and then we were just waiting for who will PATFO actually pick.
Just wait till Pop retires and we go into rebuild mode.
This place will be getting bombarded with draft prospects, names,Euro talents all year long.
People will be watching more college ball than actual Spurs games.
I wonder if the Heat, who have severe tax issues, would do Bertans, Forbes and 19 for Olynyk and 13. They'd reap significant savings and get two expiring, playable young pieces who'd both fill positional needs.
In addition to moving into Little/Hachimura range, Spurs would essentially get Bertans' skillset (he's not as deadeye or versatile a shooter) in a true big. We know their preference is to play big anyway. He's the rare one who can actually do so on both sides with either Aldridge or Poeltl, while filling the third big hole simultaneously.
Interesting
Spurs have to be thinking about getting a forward in this draft who could one day match up against Kawhi... We do not have that player.
Give me Bol Bol, Bazley or
Kevin Porter, Samanic
Give me Bol Bol or Nic Claxton and I'll be very happy.
Huh? Leonard isn't a big guy (by NBA standards). Derrick White is big enough to guard him. The Spurs certainly don't have to prioritize getting a forward just to guard Kawhi when they have James, Durant and Doncic in their conference.
Just knee him the quad a couple of times.
Bol Bol or Tacko Fall would be fun. I love Cameron Johnson as a big shooter who could space the floor for Murray and White. I like Kris Wilkes on the second round, if he is available. Has great talent but needs good coaching.
Trade Belinelli or Bertans and a future #2 if necessary to Philadelphia for
Marjanović, #33,#34
Draft Okpala, Samanic,Windler,Roby,Wilkes and plug in the holes of
White, Walker, Mills
Murray, Forbes,
Derozan
Gay, Bertans or Belinelli, Metu
Aldridge,Poeltl, Marjanović

Spurs, get us two tier 2 players please!
Boban is an unrestricted FA ...
You have Washinton below those 7 players? He is probably the best player on your list.
Im probably stating the obvious but I do really think the spurs are gonna go with a big that fits onto the timeline of are young guards.
Washington is good. And its not really that he's "below" Grant and Thybulle--hes on the same tier as them, may bring the same level of effectiveness but in a different way. Washington is the safest pick of all the prospects I listed. But at the same time, i dont think he has that much "boom" potential.
Would be happy with Claxton and any 1 of the other 2nd tier players. Preferably Roby though.
