It's only 102 days to COLLEGE FOOTBALL !!!
Yep.
And enjoying my UT Rose Bowl Championship DVD.
Can't wait to see another 8 win 4th place finish from my Maize and Blue. Go Sparty.
I like John L alot.
But Sparty is an enigma man. Can't figure them out.
True. They be my second team though. I bleed the maize and blue of Michigan.
Only a little over 4 months before OU retakes ownership of the RRS
A capper that I have a ton of respect for told me the other night that he loves OU at the current 8-1 to win the national le. Now, I like Ohio State from a non-homer standpoint (since the Bucks do invade Austin this season) and Florida as a dark horse, but OU under Bomar with hardware just seems really farfetched unless Planet Norman is convinced that A-Pete is the 21st century Bo Jackson.
Don't get me wrong, I wish Bob Stoops was on Oceanic flight 815. But I like winning futures bets as much as the next guy. Is OU a legit BCS championship contender?
Legit, yeah, along with at least 5-6 other serious contenders.
Likely?, I highly doubt it.
They'll win 7 games this year.
Have no fear, Colt McCoy is going to take over as the new starting QB and with all the offensive weapons he has around him and a defense that should be DOMINANT-we'll make a quick return to being the two time defending national champs! Hook'em!!!![]()
I thought Jeven Snead looked better in the spring game. I think they should just go with him NOW and not around with any 2 QB system.
No. Not even close. Remember the only reason they won their bowl game was the other OSU had a hurt starting QB. Rhett Bomar won't take 'em there and in order to be a contender they have to give AD a lot of touches and his 'durability' is 'questionable' in my humble opinion.
Look for Notre Dame to have a good year, Michigan to get back into contention and possibly...possibly USC and Texas to stay in the hunt.
You have to take Ohio State, ND or perhaps, LSU as the favorites.
I'm calling Darius Walker for the Heisman.
Yeah I said it.
no way notre dame can win a national le this year
no way in
i would bet my chode
I would say texas, michigan and west virginia are my top 3
Yay just a month or so until I can buy my season tickets, not to mention those away game ones![]()
please dont tell me you somehow know sergio kindle too
haha, now you sound like my friends at school "oh my gosh, how can you possibly know that athlete too?"
But to answer your question, no I have not met Sergio yet, but give it time, i'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. Too bad I'm not enrolled in summer school at UT this summer. Thats how I got to know a lot of the players last year (frank, justin, limas, nate, michael griffin, etc.).
I think Texas will win 9 or 10 games this year, the Ohio st game will be tough. You know blowu will be pissed off about last year, and Lubbock is always a tough place to play.
I think the Ohio St. game is early enough in the season where we could lose a close game, still win out in the Big XII and have a good shot at advancing to a national championship game. The major roadblocks after Ohio St. are going to be playing ou in the Cotton Bowl, in Lincoln against Nebraska, at Texas Tech and home against a&m at the end of the season, also for some reason we always have a tough time playing at Kansas St. But, I do believe this team and their young QB (whether it's Snead or McCoy, please Mack just pick one of them to start after the opening game) will mature as the season progresses, and could easily finish with only one loss. All in all should be a very interesting season for the Horns.
On a side note just renewed the season tickets for the upcoming football season, I'm stoked! Hook'em!
Dude, give the Maize and Blue a little more love. The played like crap last year, had a slew of injuries, and absolutley gut busting turnovers, but they will bounce back. Before last year, they were the only team to not have a 5 loss season in the previous 10 years. If they are nothing else, they are consistent. The '97 team was very similar in expectations, and you know how that turned out. Now, I don't expect an undefeated national championship team, I do think a 2-loss season is in order (They are for sure going to lose at Penn St. at night, w/ the other being a turnover induced coma-like game somewhere else in the season) All is not lost, and hopefully the seniors on this upcoming team realize that 5 losses is no way to finish out a season in Ann Arbor. Go Blue!
The Colorado Buffaloes will be the Big12 champs.
I'm putting all my vbookie on it.
