This is a weird recruiting year. This season can’t get here soon enough.
Lots of false negative recruiting in my opinion. Zach Evans told me all I need to know.
ehlinger is a winner, pure and simple. i don't know if that translates to a heismann because his numbers may not be as impressive in the end, but if the horns are winning this year, he will have to be a finalist.
Per his Twitter, LB Prince Dorbah of Dallas Highland Park will be committing on July 10th.
Per 24/7, S Lathan Ransom of Tucson, AZ will be making a birthday commitment on July 16th
He's down to Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas, with Ohio State considered the favorite.
S Chris Thompson, Jr. of Duncanville a late addition to The Opening roster.
24/7 reported this morning Texas should still feel good about ATH Jahari Rogers of Arlington High.
They mentioned the Florida buzz with him is legit, but they don't believe it's enough to overcome Texas' lead.
WR Johnny Wilson summarizes his most recent visit to Texas (24/7):
“Really, it’s just a great town and a great place to be,” Wilson said. “The people are amazing. The experience I had the first time I visited the school was amazing. They welcomed me, and I just wanted my mom to get that same experience. She came out here and got a good look at the school and everything they had to offer. She went home Sunday, but I had to stay a couple more.”
“Gabe (Floyd) is my guy,” he said. “I’ve known him forever. I also met some other guys on the team including a lot of the receivers. I got to know what they thought of the program and how they fit into the system. Everyone there is trying to get to the same goal and working towards the same goal. They are working hard and they just tell me it’s a grind. We all connected really quickly.”
“When I first started showing interest in Texas, that was his main thing,” Wilson said. “He was just saying, ‘You know we play big receivers’, and they turned a tight end who was 6-foot-7, 250 into a receiver. So that’s been their main thing with me I guess. Just being able to hear that I will be playing receiver if I go to Texas is good.”
“It will be most likely during the season,” he said. “I’m probably going to make a decision during the season sometime.”
“Really, right now it’s been Oregon and Texas who have been on me hard,” Wilson said. “UCLA and Washington have been in there too. Really it’s the only school in my top five. Ohio State kind of fell off.”
“Not necessarily,” he said. “I’ve been out here already and I’ve wanted to stay, so moving is not a problem. My parents and my grandparents have been wanting to move out of California for the longest. If I did come to Texas, it would give them the opportunity to do what they want.”

If Epps is a legit 250lbs pound, I hope Herman makes him a vital part of this offense. That's a mismatch for anybody.
LB Brynden Walker of Oklahoma City, OK switches his commitment from OK State to OU.

This statement stood out to me! He’s been and already thought about staying...looking good here.
some local prospects that bear watching: 2021 cibolo steele DB kaleb higgins; his value is rising (just picked up offers from a&m, baylor and boston college) and should rise even more this season. he is an austin bowie transfer and brother of former bowie standout and stanford WR elijhah higgins. even though he is listed as a DB, i expect him to be seeing quite a lot of time at WR as well. steele's WR corp will be one of the best in the state and another one of their rising stars is 2020 WR daniel jackson who just picked up offers from arizona state, iowa state and USC.
^^^ he’ll follow bro to Stanford bank on it.
Mike Farrell of Rivals made some predictions last week at the Rivals 5-star Camp. He had three going to Texas and quiet a few to A&M (but "only" Broughton and '21 Bryce Foster of relevance regarding Texas).
The three to Texas are WR JJ Hester (from Oklahoma), WR LV Bunkley-Shelton (from Cali) and '21 OG Hayden Conner (Taylor, Katy Texas).
The most interesting piece here, IMO, is that he thinks Texas lead for Bunkley-Shelton. Bunkley-Shelton was the guy that dominated Texas' California camp and got an offer. He was also one of the best receivers at this Rivals camp. Farrell says he has a lot of work to do in the classroom and could be forced to go the JUCO route. Just something to watch moving forward.
Hudson and Hayes are obviously both very solid. To be QB 1A and 1B from the same state is pretty cool, love them in this setting with top notch talent already competing.
Zach Evans has a new top 5 on IG live today, Texas, aggy, LSU, Bama, and Georgia
So it’s still Alabama.
Who cares.
Lol so his top 3 are LSU bama and Georgia with us and ags as fluff....
I'm more convinced than ever that Evans is 100% going to Bama, with a slight possibility of ending up at UGA. However I think Milton is going to Georgia so that leaves him going to Bama.
