Damn good deal for Denver Jerami Grant for 2nd round pick. Damn OKC really are firehouse selling
No sense paying the luxury tax when they traded PG.

Carrol and Morris are great pick ups. Addressed the defense issue, but would like more depth at the 3 with a faster 6'6-6'8 guy. Carrol and Morris, though, are still very switchable which is good. PATFO making moves with what they got. Excited for the new season. I'm thinking 6-7 seed and able to get out of the first round is a distinct possibility for this team.

Nuggets don’t scare me at all. Maybe next year when Millsap’s huge salary comes off the books.

that’s quite the standard. Which nba players do you think you can score on?

Lakers are going to have at most a 2 year window before it all comes crashing down and they have Anthony Davis, maybe Kuzma, and no one else functional.

Hypothetically speaking,if I was Murray or White, I would definitely want Quin Cook gaurding me over Rondo.

They need a washed up center with name recognition. Tyson Chandler, Gortat, Bogat?

You jest, but I feel like Chandler is pretty much a given.

Then they just need to ink Melo and meme-team 2.0 will be complete.

this. I think Murray can be more effective than Westbrook as soon as this upcoming season, especially when you factor in defense
Totally agree. I’d take Murray over Russ from this point forward totally ignoring the contracts . Contracts only make it more of a one sided argument.

Shooting from different distances (career for Murray as he was hurt and gives bigger sample size, most recent season for Russ):
    Murray Westbrook
    0-3 ft 58.2% 65.0%
    3-10 ft 38.2% 20.8%
    10-16 ft 33.1% 33.3%
    16+ 2pt 34.8% 35.8%
    3pt 31.6% 30.8%

So while Murray is less effective at the rim, he’s about the same from every other range and not a trainwreck on short twos like Russ is. Murray’s numbers will only trend up as he keeps getting coached, and once Westbrook’s athleticism is sapped you end up with Murray’s shooting from the past few years if not worse.

Usage and attention sucked in from defense should be adjusted for too. But Russ has PG13 on the floor whereas Dejounte has like eight games of Kawhi.

Murray’s turnover rate is really high, but that’s not uncommon for a young PG. Westbrook’s assist rate is high but still turns over ball a ton.

Rebound rates are very similar, though Westbrook’s teammates box out for him to statpad.

And we haven’t even talked about defense yet. Night and day.

Their front court depth is scary. Think about how they pounded the Spurs this past year but add another competent defender in Grant to the mix. Plus whatever they get from Porter Jr.

They won’t really have real cap room next summer as Murray already signed his extension (didn’t pull the Kawhi/Spurs 2014 wink and agree), and Grant probably opts out ... they will try resigning him but at a higher cap hold than his $9mm player option.

Nuggets should be afraid of us. That overrated team barely beat our mediocre team and lost to an injury depleted Portland team. Their Ogre had Enes Kanter with a bum shoulder guarding him . They look good on paper, but it’s just one great player and a bunch of Splash Brother wannabes.

denver is a solid team no doubt but grant is a bit of a liability on offense, he probably will steal minutes from guys like Beasley and Torrey Craig

I feel like the warriors have made some sneaky good moves but will see they’ve been pretty bad at evaluating good young players
