Yeah, plenty of guys that had some success after leaving the Spurs....

Maybe not championship success outside of Kawhi, Danny, and RJ...but enough success where they were able to secure pretty damn good paydays....

Bert is going to a trash organization but hopefully there's enough minutes for him to statpad and get a fat contract next offseason.

You're a dumbass if you don't think Mills has no NBA skills. Just an outright dip . You can say he's overpaid, fine, but not that he has no NBA skills beyond shooting.
Mills consistently s up the last play at the end of a quarter. He can't defend. He can't even make lay ups, he just throws the ball in the air in transition. He doesn't have good handles. He doesn't have good court awareness. He doesn't rack up a lot of assists. He can't guard anybody and is a liability on defense. His only skill is being a shooter and he's a very streaky one. The guy is worthless if it wasn't for Pop loving Coffee Gang

I've got no complaints. PATFO just felt he couldn't contribute enough against the Nuggets and got another player who did step up in the playoffs.

Spurs tend to value players who perform better in the playoffs. They've consistently gotten rid of guys who did not step up their game.
This is so far from the truth, my head hurts... We have multiple players on the roster that didn't perform in past playoffs

I was hoping for a draft pick if we flipped Bertans.
I agree, SAS gave away Bertans for nothing just to open a roster and create the sign & trade.
Probably for a one year rental player.

(Cory Joseph, Kyle Anderson, Jonathan Simmons, Boban, Baynes) non of them are all stars but deserve a 2nd round pick at minimum if Spurs agree to sign & trade them or trade them before they leave.

I think Bryn could be the next guy to leave without nothing.

Then explain Patty still being here and getting a stupid extension when he hadn't done jack for years in the postseason. Muh culture is a big factor for Pop too.

Normally, when you want to use another team's trade exception spot to offload a contract, you send the contract, plus a sweetener, maybe a low pick or some cash. We didn't have to do that, because Bertans WAS the asset, but in no way was that a giveaway. Teams won't let you dump a contract for free.

That would be hilarious if he put out an Instagram post saying he was the sacrificial lamb

Cant blame the FO on this one, the person to blame is ing Morris. I'm glad the bertans is gone tbh I loved everything Pop and RC tried to do this offseason. They drafted well. They're developing Lonnie nicely. They got rid of useless Bertans and if ing Morris didnt renig on his word then we would have traded Marco too. That's 2 outta the 3 useless players off the team in one offseason. Now all that's left is to give Patty a brand new towel and have him wave it on the bench all season long

I'm disappointed in our off season simply 'cause, imho, we could have got Lyles (LLE) without losing Bertans...Davis has to be played defensively the same way he plays offensively, aka on the perimeter, because he has decent legs and wingspan, not on big men because his body simply isn't strong enough to take care of them and so becomes a living miss match...
imho in Washington, if given the chance, it could become one of the most exciting surprises till gaining most improved player le...two shooters like him and Beal (who could play more point guard next season) could do wonders also in a lottery team like Washington is supposed to be next year.
