    It's falling apart on them.

Week in review. It's bribery just wait until you see the transcript, oh well you have to read between the lines and a brief claim it cons uted a campaign finance violation. Then it was just wait until you see the whistle blower report but now that it's clear this person doesn't even qualify as a whistle blower they are moving onto the "cover up" angle. Let's see how long it takes to find out who the leaker is and if the rumors that Schiff was involved in writing the phony whistle blower report are true.
What bat conservative news bubble have you been spending the last week living in?

"The Eastern European nation was expecting nearly $400 million in US support — including weapons, training, and advisers — to boost its effort to fight off Russia which invaded the country in 2014.

But by the time Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky got

on the now infamous July 25 call

with Trump, that aid had yet to be sent.

    It’s therefore no surprise

Zelensky mentioned the assistance to Trump,

to which Trump responded he’d like Zelensky to do him a “favor” in return:

investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.

It certainly seems like a quid pro quo was pretty clearly implied:

You want your aid? Help me dig up dirt on my 2020 political rival.

    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/9/24/20881505/donald-trump-withhold-aid-ukraine-timeline-whistleblower

So VZ knew the stuff had been delayed, and so asked Trash about IN THE ING PHONE CALL

and in return Trash, withholder, asked for a "favor"

[The administration has such a history of problematic or stupid calls to foreign leaders that placing transcripts on a server normally reserved for national security was a standard practice to keep people from learning about the stupid or problematic calls with foreign leaders]
So that's what you are going with? Okaaaay.

So the server normally reserved for highly sensitive intelligence and covert ops was used for the transcript and related do ents.
In a move that former intel officials call... unusual, given the call did not concern any actual intelligence operations.

Almost as if they knew there was something they wanted to hide.

Trump official says lawyers had Ukraine call transcript moved to secure system
    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tru...-secure-system
But this isn't an intelligence matter, memba?

Is it acceptable for a president to ask for assistance from foreign governments to make up dirt on political rivals?

After 2017, when verbatim transcripts of his conversations with the leaders of Australian and Mexico were leaked to the press, the White House began to restrict the number of officials who had access to the transcripts. One former Trump administration official confirmed that the White House started placing transcripts into the codeword system after those leaks.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2019/...script-1514714

April Doss, who served as senior minority counsel for the Russia investigation on the Senate Intelligence Committee and, prior to that, as a top attorney at the National Security Agency, said the S//OC//NF designation of the memo “seems like a typical level of classification for that kind of call.”

That classification indicates that the disclosure of the call would cause "serious damage" to national security, cannot be disseminated by anyone except the originator, and is prohibited from disclosure to foreign nationals. A code word classification, meanwhile, is top secret—a level higher than secret—and then further compartmentalized by adding a code word so that only those who have been cleared for each code word can see it.

Doss said it would be “highly unusual” for this kind of routine call between world leaders to be placed into a system that’s used for information about the nation’s most highly compartmented programs. “It risks undermining a whole host of important national security activities,” she said, noting that “most if not all” officials who would need to have access to call readouts as part of carrying out their regular duties in advising on foreign affairs and implementing the administration’s policies “would not have access” to the codeword system.

    Lol, "make up dirt"
    I thought that sounded familiar

Schiff -- "We’ve been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what, I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though, and I’m going to say this only seven times so you better listen good.

I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it. "

Apparently there are statements in the whistle blower complaint that are also direct quotes from previous Schiff tweets

Trump’s Lawyers Argue That He Cannot Be Impeached Because He Was Never Actually Elected

WASHINGTON —In what they believe is a legal masterstroke, lawyers for Donald J. Trump are now claiming that he cannot be impeached because he was never actually elected.

In a lengthy memo sent to the special counsel, Robert Mueller, the lawyers pushed back vehemently against any allegation that Trump was legally elected President.

“Because Russian interference made the election of Donald J. Trump wholly illegitimate,

any attempt to remove him from an office that he does not legally hold is clearly impossible,”

    the memo asserted.

    The memo claimed that the

Cons ution contains “no provision for removing a person from office

when that person was installed there by a foreign power.”

The memo went on to argue that, if a subpoena is sent to the White House, it will be returned to Mueller and
    stamped “addressee unknown.”

“A person referred to in a subpoena as ‘President’ Donald J. Trump simply does not exist,” the memo claimed.

Minutes after the memo was leaked, the former New York mayor

Rudolph Giuliani appeared on “Fox & Friends” and proudly announced that he was its author.

“Sometimes I have to just step back and say, ‘Damn it, Rudy, you’re good,’ ” he said, beaming.
