Arrogant Mariano
Diaz or Chirinos.
Getting into the Nats deep bullpen is a winning strategy as beyond Doolittle and Hudson they are trash
Dude is a batting champion. It's like pitching to Tony Gwynn instead of anyone else.
I did catch that. You'd think he'd be mad; but I guess he's happy to go golfing and be healthier for future paychecks.
Yankee fan deserves this for mocking Greinke's social anxiety disorder imo
Congrats Astro fan
This guy says he's caught 11,127 baseballs at games.
Yup. Em though and their thug ass fans
Chapman is pissed at that moment...but sometimes it is natural to laugh at such a negatively absurd situation......a sign of shock and disbelief.
In the ALCS, Astros pen > Yankees pen.....I still hate Osunuts.
They keep talking about Springer's playoff HR total, but fail to mention Altuve has the same amount.
Alvarez is not ready for the moment yet. Stop taking out Brantley. Use Diaz or Tucker as the DH.
MLB needs to fix the leagues, either go both DH, or no DH. As a lifelong Astros fan, I was very much anti-DH, always thought NL baseball was more pure. However, now that I follow the AL, I must say my stance has changed. The game is better offensively, while pitchers can focus on their main task only. The DH is used in college. IMO, both leagues should finally bring unity to the game and use the DH.
League wide DH is coming. They will argue it decreases injuries to pitchers and allows more parity since pitchers are so expensive. I also think it is why you are seeing all this stadium netting going up.
I think NL play is more interesting. Base runners keep me more intrigued than waiting on home runs.
Hahaha, I choked laughing at this one
I know very little about the Nationals, as I really only focus on the AL now. What are their strengths and weaknesses?
One positive, Grienke is used to batting.
Great starting pitching. Soto and Rendon are as good of a 1-2 punch as there is. Terrible bullpen. Manager inexperienced.
They seemed to have caught lightening in a bottle. They are peaking at the right time.
They're actually a pretty stacked team. Just got off to a slow start, but had the best record in the NL since like July. Bullpen is their weak link. Houston needs to gameplan around working their starters pitch count up to get them out by the 6th. Then they'll feast on that pen.

Nats finished the regular season on a 8 game win streak. In late August they were 10 games over .500 and finished 24 games over. So they were one of baseballs best in 2nd Half.
So dating back to regular season, the Nats are on a 16-2 run

and think I heard a stat during the NLCS that they were 42 games over .500 since a certain part in the season.. impressive
Mistake starting Schrezer over Stausburg imo.
Really hope Alvarez gets his together
