When he says ‘virtually impenetrable’, what kind of idiots do you think he’s talking to, tbh?
Darrin is exactly the idiot he's talking to.

All security systems have vulnerabilities. Doesn't mean it's a bad idea to keep trying to improve them.

Dems were hacked by a simple phishing attack. Lolz

Don't lock your doors, folks. They are easily defeated with the right tools.
How much does your door lock cost, Darrin?

That's exactly why I said there would be more than one place they would cut.

    It's the same subject.

And the fence is more easily cut after the first time, so the same response time would have to be faster.

    It's all really quite simple.
    You said

And then by their admission the patrol wouldn't get there in time anytime after the first.
Now you're trying to deflect by saying they'll cut more than one spot but that doesn't makes sense either because border patrol has more than one patrol car. Let's say they cut 50 spots along a ten mile stretch, you don't think border patrol will know to focus on that ten mile stretch?

And you don't think whoever cuts them would just move and cut some more to see what happens there while the original cuts still remain?

    No way of telling.

Do you expect them to announce where they will cut through the fence?

    Yes or no.

So having no barrier at all is a better option? Surely some people slip through customs undetected, even with contraband. Does that mean customs is ineffective?

Barrier in some places sure. Point is that the barrier should not be such that 10 minutes and a sawzall gets through it.

The Wall is now an ideology, not just a physical barrier. The “Forever Trumpers” will never let it go.

Not sure who advanced that? Congress authorized a fence a long time ago, IIRC. Much cheaper to deploy, repair and replace as needed, and probably requires just about the same monitoring.

The point is that when this wall ‘solution’ was sold as this ‘virtually impenetrable’ barrier, most non-stupid people called it for what it was: a simpleton non-solution to a complex problem.

As other posters have noted, this quickly turned into a political and expensive rallying cry for idiots, and not much more than that.
