then again, they had to call it a fumble on the field, otherwise the return would have been nullified if they blew it dead. Refs are instructed to NOT call it dead because blowing it dead nullifies any return. So they'll fix it to an incomplete pass and the Vikings will be allowed to punt.

After the Saints/Rams game, they made it a point of emphasis to NOT call those dead. They can always fix it; but calling it a fumble on the field allows a return to happen. They can't fix it to a fumble AND a return if they blew it dead and later it was ruled a fumble.

now THAT was horse that it stood. The Goff play was similar to the Cousins play. Rams got robbed of a win today, they should be 6-3. You could argue the same for the Panthers.
