I think it’s all very interesting. I’d welcome the NBA being more like the premier league having relegation and various inter-league cups.
Wow, thanks for clearing that up. We moved down south, and I haven't been to a single game in Austin this season. I had no idea.
So I guess they're trying to speed the game up with that? It's REALLY going to punish the poor FT shooters.I know the points should even out over time, but it puts a lot more pressure on that one FT. I think the bad FT shooters are going to shoot an even lower percentage. And it won't matter if the points even out next game, if a couple of empty possessions costs you tonight's game.It will also give teams that much more reason to intentionally foul guys like Drummond or Dwight Howard, and an opponent could pretty much force one of those guys off the floor - at least until the last two minutes.
Now I'm interested to see how this shakes out.

And the video above shows all 5 made baskets - every one was at the rim (2 on follow ups to his own missed shots at roughly 8 feet out).
Keldon Johnson and Metu assigned to Austin for game today.
Spurs get the win.

So Keldon goes scoreless from beyond the arc once again. He still hasn't made a three pointer all year in G-League. His free throw percentage was ok in college so he has it in him to be a decent three point shooter in the NBA but he hasn't shown he can hit one yet in G-League. Pop sure as isn't gonna give him playing time if he can't space the floor.
the funny thing is the Austin Spurs are also one of the teams with the least 3-point attempts in the entire G-League. Popovich's antiquated system has spread all over this organization
I was at the game yesterday. Metu looked like a man among boys out there. Keldon wasn’t too bad either. I was surprised how the SA players weren’t the focus of the offense. Ledbetter and Farrel were letting it fly. Scottie Pippen’s nephew(?) looked pretty strong too and looks just like Scottie with a similar game. Austin took 29 3point attempts. So RC’s post above is extra dumb. Fun game. We’re going to attend regularly, so I hope to meet some of y’all.
That's weird; his 3pt shooting was actually good in college but has vanished since getting drafted.
Austin Spurs are 18th in the G-League at 3-point attempts and have played 1 or 2 more games than any team that's behind them which means they are actually ranked a lot lower. Last year they were 26th out of 27 teams dumbo. But keep sniffing. Sniff sniff. Here are some sources before you ask me where I got that info from

I congratulate you on your investigative skills. I should have expanded on my insult to make the point that why the would you shoot threes when your roster doesn’t have many (any?) reliable 3 point shooters. Want DDR hucking airballs or Lonnie hitting the side of the backboard rather than the Spurs settling for the shots that the roster dictates. You act as if Pop has never heard of a 3 pointer before or that our last championship never happened. But you need to about Pop, so go ahead with your bad takes.
This thread is about the Austin Spurs not the San Antonio Spurs
Sure is. Then why are you bringing up Pop? By your response to Kurgen’s post it appears you think because Keldon hasn’t hit a three pointer in the G League that’s somehow Pop’s fault. I must have misread that bc that would be a super weak take.
Ouch I felt that
Watching this game instead of the Spurs game since league pass isnt covering that game lmao
Luka Samanic is dominating offensively. 21 pts in 19 mins. Killing it from inside and outside. Wide range offensive repertoire. Defensively not bad either
wish we’d just trade Aldridge and bring him on, along with Keldon

Luka with an array of offense and looking smooth:
Reminds me of Dirk kinda
Luka has been looking good, hopefully he’s working hard in the weight room. He showed a bunch of different moves last night with out hesitation too. Really optimistic that this years Spurs draft class pans out.
Spurs playing Salt Lake City right now:

Keldon misses all his three point attempts once again. He has yet to make one this season, shooting 0% at 2 attempts a game. Looking more and more like we drafted the shooting guard version of Kyle Anderson.
He at least shoots though. Could it be mental?
