
yeah... Manu is not as big here as people like to think. In fact, people here in Buenos Aires have all but forgotten about him, at least in terms of being the topic of coversation and that sort of thing. The only ones that stay informed about basketball and the NBA are those of us that loved basketball long before the Manu-mania took over. The rest were just common folk excited to have someone new to admire, you know? Still, its not something you can blame people for, when there are probably what? 2 or 3 Spurs game broadcasts on a good month? Not enough exposure for people to actually become real fans.
If I were you I'd start by just being you, and I don't mean that old tired cliche about "be honest, and let your true personality shine through" bull

I mean, the old "I'm from a land far, far away, speak almost no spanish, currently have about 200 USD in my pockets and think you are HAAAAWWWT!!!" trick

That seems to work like a charm here, specially if women think you're good looking.
