To go back to the OP, reparations is stupid. You'll always have some people who think that it wasn't enough, and frankly, we're hopefully only a generation or two until that type of request won't matter. Minorities today don't have to worry nearly as much as boomers did in choosing who to marry, voting, and various other civil functions.
I wonder if Greg More who spent many hours posting at ST bragging about how much money he has and owns his own business will delete his posts so it doesn't up his plans to get some of the free honky cash?

All the people that deserve any money are dead. This generation of blacks doesn't deserve because they didn't have to endure the slavery. Just because some distant relative that they never met or even knew existed might have been a slave doesn't mean they should get anything.

I don't see the connection with your statement with giving reparations to African Americans. Those fat s werent kidnapped from their homes, killed, raped, and/or recieved 50 whip lashes on their bodies for not losing weight.
Neither were any of the black people alive today. Why should they get anything? They didn't suffer any slavery.

Nah I dont believe they reprimanded those folks that got blasted, but the asians that were held captive in the camps here in the states were issued a formal and public apology AND they were compensated monetarily.
It goes beyond them not being alive. First of all, it was only some slaves who were promised the 40 acres. Not all. I don't recall all the details, but the mule was not part of the promise. It was given anyway. Several former slaves got the deal, before the next administration canceled the agreement.
