Thanks for the reverse jinx on Davis. Ever since ya'll been talkin , he's been a beast both offensively and defensively.
I'm still not buying it. They knew Kinsler was on a tear and probably trying to get into his head early in the game.
He still strikes out over 40% of the time and has a terrible batting average. He will cool off in a month and he will be getting the Laynce Nix treatment for the rest of his Rangers career. He is a monster when he connects, but is it really worth the it?
The good side is he's very very young. I would package him for a stud pitcher at the deadline while he's hot and put Blalock at 1st. They have similar power and Blalock has experience, hits for a better average, and is a better defender.
Also, it seems all in the news today that Ben Sheets will most likely try and sign with the Rangers again. I think it is a low risk move much like Andrew Jones was. It is still up in the air on who he will replace. I'm still kind of hoping to see Feliz get some major league action this year, but im guessing he will stay at AAA if Texas can keep this play up.
On the other hand, we let Adrian Gonzalez and Travis Hafner go prematurely. But if he has trade value, I wouldnt hesitate to move him for an arm.
That's what Lackey gets for being a prick.
Is it just me, or in the past 2-3 years have the Angels turned into a bunch of low-class whiny bags? I used to be a big Scioscia fan, but that guy is the ultimate turd nugget now.
Sweep!!!
I have family that works for the Rangers and i have been a big fan of them forever and they're my favorite team in any pro sport. it actually gives me goosebumps watching the fans stand up at the end of this game. Hopefully they keep on winning and win back most of the fanbase that was lost the last few years. And the fact that it was the Angels makes it even more satisfying.![]()

Damn BUMP...this is scary..we both cheer for the Cowboys..and now the Rangers? Wow...I'm scared.
Here's my Sunday Rangers story:
I had gotten 2 free tickets for today's game so I grabbed my girl (who had never been to a game but wanted to go) and headed up to the game today. Went and parked in the Six Flags parking lot (because I don't have to pay) and took the short walk towards the gate. Got to the gate and pulled out my ticket and was right about to walk in when... my girl tells me she doesn't have her ticket. I ask her what she did with it and she says "I don't know, maybe I left it in the car". So I walk back to the car to check and sure enough - no ticket. Now usually this wouldn't be a big deal for a Rangers game, but the ticket lines were ridiculously long and I didn't have the extra cash on me to buy an expensive ticket cause all the cheap ones were gone.
All the way to the gate and no dice cause my girl can't keep track of a ticket.![]()
Come on all you fake Ranger fans...for all of you that left after the 1999 playoffs, its time for you to jump back on the bandwagon
![]()
As much as I love the winning, I hate the bandwagoners that will come with it. Now, it will be impossible to get the cheap dugout seats I used to get with ease. Oh well, winning is better, too bad it costs more.
yep, it was so easy to get great cheap seats on Ebay or Stub Hub. Luckily I got my Memorial Day tickets vs. the Yanks a few weeks ago before this team blew up and everyone decided to come out to the ballpark. Don't get me wrong I love going to the ballpark and seeing it full but bandwagoners make me sick
Got my tickets for this weekend vs the Asstros.
No offense for memorial day, but I'd rather go to the cooler MMP, than the outside park haha.
WTF....1 hit by in' fat ass Dontrel Willis![]()

we just can't buy a win in Detroit. It's just weird.
Kinsler and Andrus, TRIPLE PLAY!
Detroit and the Tigers
WTF...how the do the Tigers have our number? This is bull .
Detroit's starting pitching has been really good lately.
Dontrelle's outing was a complete surprise. But, Verlander and tomorrow's starter Edwin Jackson have been throwing fire their last few starts. The way to get at those two in particular is to do what the Rangers did tonight and get their pitch count up and try to score on Detroit's bullpen. Our bullpen has been erratic and very hittable, even the closer Rodney.
But, Detroit is playing good baseball lately. Even the sweep the Twins had against the Tigers, the Tigers had opportunities to win two of those three losses because of the starting pitching.
the Tigers could lose 20 in a row and then still sweep us in Detroit. WTF?
I bet the Rangers just lost 1/2 of the bandwagon with this sweep
dont worry about the tigers we dont go back to det till bame 3 of the alcs
